Jabra Evolve3 65 Flex vs HP Poly Focus 625 Fold: Has Jabra Finally Met Its Match?

Yes, in the foldable class Jabra has met its match, and the two now represent opposite bets. The Jabra Evolve3 65 Flex removes the boom entirely and relies on six microphones with deep-neural-network ClearVoice; the HP Poly Focus 625 Fold keeps a physical 70 mm hideaway boom backed by Acoustic Fence 2.0. Prices are close: S$376.68 for the Evolve3 65 Flex and S$349.00 for the Focus 625 Fold at SourceIT, as listed on 25 Oct 2026. The Jabra is lighter and more discreet; the Poly lasts far longer per charge and puts a microphone where physics says it works best.

Figures from Jabra's Evolve3 65 Flex product page and July 2026 press release, and HP's Focus 625 Fold specifications.

Boomless AI voice vs a physical boom: which works better?

Jabra's case is that software now does the boom's job. The Evolve3 65 Flex has no mic arm at all; Jabra says it uses ClearVoice deep-neural-network processing to isolate your voice, describes enhanced outdoor voice pickup, and lists Premium Microphone for Open Office certification. Poly's case is that distance still matters. The Focus 625 Fold's boom swings down to sit near your mouth, collecting much more of your voice relative to the room before any processing starts, and Acoustic Fence 2.0 then suppresses sound from outside a zone around the mouth. HP lists Microsoft Teams Open Office certification.

In practice, both are designed to pass open-office tests. The boomless Jabra is more discreet on camera and simpler to wear. The boom gives the Poly more margin in genuinely loud places: a busy pantry, a site office, an MRT platform. If your hybrid workers mainly call from home and quiet meeting rooms, boomless is enough. If they call from anywhere, the boom is the safer bet.

AI can clean a voice it can hear. A boom makes sure it hears you first.

Battery: the biggest practical difference

HP rates the Focus 625 Fold at up to 25 hours of talk time with ANC and the online indicator on. Jabra rates the Evolve3 65 Flex at up to 14.5 hours with ANC and busylight on, or 16.5 hours with both off. For a hybrid worker on calls four hours a day, that is roughly a working week from the Poly against three to four days from the Jabra. On music, the Jabra leads with ANC off (up to 80 hours against 52). Both have replaceable batteries, which matters for a fleet kept beyond its warranty.

Comfort and portability

The Evolve3 65 Flex is 65 g lighter, and with no boom it packs smaller; Jabra says its compact carry case slips into small bags and pockets. The Focus 625 Fold is heavier at 208 g but adds a 3.5 mm cable for in-flight media and HP's swappable ear cushions. For staff who wear a headset all day at a desk, try both: weight and clamping pressure are personal.

Which design makes more sense for hybrid workers?

Jabra's previous foldable is compared in HP Poly Focus 625 Fold vs Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex and against its successor in Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex vs Evolve3 65 Flex. All three are ranked in The Best Foldable Business Headsets in 2026, and the boom-versus-AI question for the full-size models is in Focus 625 vs Jabra Evolve3 75.
