HP Poly Focus 625 Fold vs Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex: Which Is the Better Travel Headset?
For frequent travellers, the HP Poly Focus 625 Fold is the better travel headset if battery life and a proper boom microphone matter most, and the Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex is better if you want the lightest, flattest headset in your bag and the lower price. Portability: which disappears into your bag?
Both fold flat. The Evolve2 65 Flex is the clear winner on weight at 136 g, 72 g lighter than the Focus 625 Fold, and it is one of the slimmest boom-mic headsets you can buy. Jabra supplies a protective pouch. HP supplies a travel case with the Fold; HP's Focus 6 datasheet describes it as a hard case, which protects the headset better in a crowded laptop bag at the cost of a little bulk. The Fold's boxed size is 183 x 172.5 x 60 mm. If you count grams for carry-on luggage, the Jabra wins; if your headset gets crushed under a laptop, a harder case is worth having.
Which sounds better on calls from airports and hotels?
Both use a boom, and both put serious processing behind it. The Focus 625 Fold's 70 mm boom sits further forward, closer to your mouth, and HP's Acoustic Fence 2.0 rejects sound from outside a zone around it. HP lists Microsoft Teams Open Office certification, the stricter microphone test for noisy spaces. The Evolve2 65 Flex's boom is deliberately short so it folds neatly, and Jabra relies on ClearVoice processing across six microphones to make up the distance. In a quiet hotel room both are clear. In a departure lounge or a café, the longer boom has the physical advantage. If calls sound poor on your laptop, the cause is often the connection, not the headset: see Why Your Expensive Bluetooth Headset Sounds Terrible on Teams.
For a red-eye flight and a morning call from the hotel, battery and microphone reach matter more than 72 grams.
Comfort over a long journey
Both are on-ear designs. The Evolve2 65 Flex's lightness makes it easy to forget on short wears between meetings. HP gives the Focus 625 soft cushions and a pressure-relief gap in the headband, and its cushions can be swapped, which helps when foam wears out after a year of travel. For long flights, the Focus 625 Fold's 3.5 mm cable lets you plug into the seat-back system; HP notes the wired link is for media listening, not calls.
Battery life on the road
This is where the Fold pulls ahead. HP rates it at up to 25 hours of talk time even with ANC and the online indicator on; Jabra rates the Evolve2 65 Flex at up to 16 hours with ANC on. On a three-day trip with a lot of calls, the Fold is far less likely to need a charge. Both charge by USB-C, and both can charge wirelessly with an optional stand or pad.
Which is the better travel headset?
Choose the HP Poly Focus 625 Fold if you take many calls on the road, want ANC on all day without battery anxiety, and like a protective case and a 3.5 mm cable for flights. Choose the Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex if you want the lightest fold-flat headset and the lower price, and your calls are mostly from quieter rooms. Jabra's newer boomless model is compared in Jabra Evolve3 65 Flex vs HP Poly Focus 625 Fold, and all three foldables are ranked in The Best Foldable Business Headsets in 2026.
