Jabra Evolve2 65 vs Yealink BH70: Can the Budget-Friendly Challenger Win?
For everyday calling on a large deployment, the budget challenger wins on cost: a Yealink BH70 MS stereo is S$166.05 at SourceIT against S$330.00 for a Jabra Evolve2 65 MS stereo, and the mono versions are S$140.40 and S$315.00, prices as listed on 24 Oct 2026. On paper the two are closer than the price suggests: both are on-ear, boom-mic, non-ANC Bluetooth headsets with about 35 hours of rated talk time. The Jabra's case rests on its open-office microphone certification, its long track record and Jabra's management tools, not on extra hardware.

Do they sound different on everyday calls?
Less than you might expect. Both put three microphones on a boom close to the mouth, which is what makes a headset clear on a call; neither has ANC, so neither cancels the noise you hear. Jabra states that the Evolve2 65 meets Microsoft's Teams Open Office requirements, a microphone test for noisy shared spaces, which is a genuine point in its favour for open-plan floors. Yealink does not claim that test for the BH70. For a quiet office, a reception desk or home working, the difference on a normal Teams call is small. Where background noise is the problem, step up to an ANC model: the Yealink BH74 MS at S$186.30 adds hybrid ANC for only S$20.25 more than the BH70 stereo.
What does a corporate rollout actually cost?
A labelled example for 50 users at SourceIT's listed prices on 24 Oct 2026:
| Scenario (50 users) | Jabra Evolve2 65 | Yealink BH70 | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stereo headset only | S$16,500.00 | S$8,302.50 | S$8,197.50 |
| Mono headset only | S$15,750.00 | S$7,020.00 | S$8,730.00 |
| Stereo with charging stand | S$21,750.00 (stand bundle S$435.00) | S$9,552.50 (headset + S$25.00 stand) | S$12,197.50 |
At this scale the Yealink saves between S$163.95 and S$243.95 per seat. Volume pricing will change both columns, so treat this as a starting point and ask for a quote.
When two headsets do the same job on paper, cost per seat becomes the specification that matters most.
What hidden costs should you plan for?
- Spares. Ear cushions wear out on shared desks. BH70 ear cushions are S$26.50 a pair; Jabra sells Evolve2 65 cushions too. Keep 10 per cent spare cushions in stock.
- Charging. The Yealink charging stand for BH70 is S$25.00. Jabra sells the Evolve2 65 as a stand bundle, which at S$435.00 for stereo is the larger premium.
- Dongles. Lost adapters are the most common support ticket. Both brands sell replacements; standardise on one USB connector type (USB-A or USB-C) across the fleet.
- Management. Jabra Xpress and Jabra Direct are established for mass deployment and firmware; Yealink's device management platform covers its headsets alongside Yealink phones and video bars. Use whichever your IT team already runs.
- Warranty. Both listings state 2 years local warranty, so the replacement exposure over a typical refresh cycle is similar.

Can the budget-friendly challenger win?
For a large deployment of everyday callers, yes. The Yealink BH70 MS Stereo matches the Evolve2 65 on talk time, is lighter, has longer rated range and costs about half. Choose the Jabra Evolve2 65 MS Stereo if your floor is open-plan and you want Jabra's stated Teams Open Office compliance, or if your existing fleet and tooling are Jabra.
