The SIP-T42U is an open-SIP business IP phone running Yealink’s unified T4U firmware. It registers with SIP-compatible IP-PBX and hosted voice platforms (Broadsoft device management is supported per the datasheet) — check compatibility with your PBX or hosted-voice provider, or ask the SourceIT team for advice on platforms commonly deployed in Singapore.

What is the difference between the Yealink T42U and T43U?
The T43U has a larger 3.7" screen, 8 line keys with 21 DSS keys and supports up to three EXP43 expansion modules; the T42U has a 2.7" screen, 6 line keys with 15 DSS keys and no expansion-module support. Both are 12-line phones with dual USB ports.
Can I add Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to the T42U?
Yes — plug a BT41 Bluetooth dongle or WF50 Wi-Fi dongle (or WF40) into either USB 2.0 port.
Does the T42U come with a power adapter?
The power adapter is optional — the phone is designed for IEEE 802.3af PoE (Class 2, drawing only 1.3–2.9 W). For non-PoE desks, add the Yealink PSU.
Which headsets work with the T42U?
RJ9 headsets (e.g. Yealink YHS34/YHS36), USB headsets such as the UH34, and wireless headsets via the EHS40 adapter.
Can the T42U record calls?
Yes — USB call recording to a USB flash drive is supported on its USB 2.0 ports per the official datasheet.
