Is the CP50 just a microphone, or does it have a speaker too?
It is a full speakerphone: an 8-microphone 360° array plus a built-in 4W speaker (rated 4W, max 6W), so one unit handles both pickup and playback for the room.
What is the difference between the CP50 and the CPE40?
The CP50 is the main unit with USB-C, Codec port and Bluetooth connectivity; the CPE40 (1304032) is an expansion unit that daisy-chains off the CP50 and is powered through the chain cable — it cannot work standalone.
How many CPE40 units can I add?
Up to 3 with the standard 48V/0.7A adapter, or up to 7 with the optional 48V/2A adapter — up to 8 speakerphones in one chain covering long boardroom tables.
Does the CP50 work with Microsoft Teams and Zoom?
Yes — via USB-C it works as the audio device for Teams, Zoom, Meet or Webex running on your PC, and via the Codec port it integrates with Yealink UVC cameras and MeetingEye video endpoints.
Can I power the CP50 from a PoE switch?
No — per the official datasheet the CP50 uses its included DC 48V adapter (standard PoE from a network switch is not supported). The single-cable links between Yealink devices carry power within the chain only.
