TP-Link VIGI Network Camera Junction Box (VIGI VJB-300) - Local Warranty
The VJB-300 is TP-Link's aluminium alloy junction box for VIGI cameras, finished in VIGI white to match the camera bodies. It hides the cable tail and connectors behind the camera at the mounting point, weighs 364 g and measures 125 mm diameter by 130.47 by 45.7 mm. TP-Link supplies mounting and waterproofing accessories in the box and publishes a compatibility list that does not cover every VIGI camera.
Aluminium Alloy, Not Plastic
TP-Link publishes the material as aluminium alloy, with a VIGI white appearance so the box reads as part of the camera rather than an addition to it. Net weight is 364 g. Product dimensions are published as 125 mm diameter by 130.47 by 45.7 mm, a shallow round footprint intended to sit directly under the camera base. Note that earlier third-party copy for this part has described it as a plastic housing, which does not match what TP-Link publishes.
Tidy, Concealed Cabling
The purpose of the box is to take the camera's cable tail, the RJ45 connector and any DC barrel joint out of view and out of the weather, so the finished installation shows a camera on a clean base rather than a loop of cable and a taped joint. Waterproofing accessories are supplied for the cable entry. This matters on a facade or a soffit where the install will be looked at as much as looked through.
Check the Compatibility List First
TP-Link markets the VJB-300 as compatible with most VIGI cameras across the bullet, PT, turret and dome families, but is explicit that it is not compatible with all of them and publishes a separate compatible-devices list. Do not assume a fit from the camera family alone. Send us the exact camera model you are mounting and we will check it against TP-Link's published list before quoting, because a junction box that does not mate is a wasted site visit.
