TP-Link Omada VPN Router with 10G Ports
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link Omada VPN Router with 10G Ports (ER8411) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The ER8411 is the top of Omada's wired gateway range: a 1U rack router with two 10G SFP+ ports, dual redundant power supplies and 4 GB of DDR4 behind a fabric that sustains roughly 9.4 Gbps of NAT throughput. It is built for the site where the internet link, not the router, should be the limit — a headquarters, a data-centre edge or a multi-tenant building.
Two 10G SFP+ Ports and Nine More Gigabit Interfaces
The ER8411 provides 2× 10GE SFP+ ports (one WAN, one WAN/LAN), 1× 1GE SFP WAN/LAN port and 8× 1GE RJ45 WAN/LAN ports, plus an RJ45 console port and two USB ports. Almost every interface is role-configurable, so the same chassis can terminate several fibre and copper circuits and still leave ports for a DMZ or an out-of-band management segment. Cat5e, Cat6 and fibre runs are all supported to the usual 100 m copper limit, and the whole unit is rack-mountable in a steel enclosure.
9.4 Gbps of NAT Throughput and 2.3 Million Concurrent Sessions
Omada rates the ER8411 at 9445.82 Mbps upload and 9449.26 Mbps download on static-IP NAT, with 9426 Mbps on DHCP and 9413/9102 Mbps on PPPoE — in other words, close to line rate on a 10G circuit whichever way the ISP hands it over. The session table holds 2,300,000 concurrent sessions and the router establishes 20,000 new sessions per second, which is the figure that matters on a network with hundreds of users, heavy SaaS use or a public Wi-Fi tier. Large-frame forwarding runs at 9970 Mbps in both directions.
Hardware-Accelerated VPN: 2.1 Gbps IPsec and 300 Tunnels
For a distributed Singapore business the VPN numbers are the point. IPsec throughput is 2140.45 Mbps with SHA1-AES256 and 2080.20 Mbps with SHA2-AES256, across up to 300 IPsec tunnels in LAN-to-LAN or client-to-LAN mode with IKEv1/v2. WireGuard runs at 1411 Mbps over 300 tunnels, OpenVPN at 1665.64 Mbps, SSL VPN at 1511.10 Mbps and L2TP at 2274.74 Mbps encrypted. SD-WAN is available when the router is run in Controller Mode.
IPS and DPI Inspection at Multi-Gigabit Rates
Security inspection on the ER8411 does not collapse the throughput the way it does on smaller gateways. IPS runs at 4924 Mbps on TCP and 4521 Mbps on UDP; DPI at 5524 Mbps TCP and 3547 Mbps UDP. Underneath that sit the conventional controls — source and destination IP access control, web group and URL filtering, web security, ARP inspection with IP-MAC binding and GARP, and attack defence covering TCP/UDP/ICMP flood, TCP scan blocking and ping-from-WAN blocking.
Redundant Dual Power Supplies and Twin Fans
The chassis carries redundant dual power supplies (100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz) and two fans, so a single PSU failure does not take the site's internet gateway down — the reason this model, rather than a desktop gateway, belongs at an aggregation point. Maximum power consumption is 26.36 W with USB 3.0 in use and 19.12 W without. The unit measures 440 × 220 × 44 mm, carries 4 kV surge protection and runs from 0–40 °C.
Managed Centrally Through Omada, or Standalone
The ER8411 is adopted by an Omada Hardware Controller (OC200, OC300 or OC400), the Omada Software Controller or the Cloud-Based Controller, which is also what enables the Omada app, cloud access and Zero-Touch Provisioning. Under a controller the gateway sits in the same topology view as the switches and access points, with unified configuration, automatic device discovery, event warnings and captive portal. Without one it is still a fully configurable router via its own web interface, SNMP, syslog and remote management.
Ideal For
Singapore businesses, schools, hotels and managed-service providers building on Omada, and IT teams that want a gateway they can adopt, monitor and update centrally rather than box by box. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Frequently Asked Questions — ER8411
Does the ER8411 need an Omada Controller?
No. The ER8411 runs standalone through its own web interface. Adopting it into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller is what unlocks central configuration, monitoring, firmware management and cloud/app access across every Omada device on site — at no licence cost.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty. Every ER8411 sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Is stock held locally?
SourceIT holds fast-moving Omada lines in Singapore. Anything not in local stock is brought in on indent — ask us for the current lead time before committing to a project date.
Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?
Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole Omada build — controller, gateway, switching, access points and optics — with local warranty and support.
