TP-Link Tapo C420S2 Smart Wire-Free Security Camera System, 2 Cameras + H200 Hub
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link Tapo Smart Wire-Free Security Camera System, 2-Camera System (Tapo C420S2) - 2 Years Local Warranty
The Tapo C420S2 covers two positions out of one box: two 2K QHD battery cameras and the Tapo H200 hub that runs them. For most Singapore properties two angles is the practical minimum, front and back, and buying them together is cheaper than a starter kit plus an add-on camera.
Two Angles, One Hub, No Cabling
The system ships with two Tapo C420 cameras, batteries fitted, and one Tapo H200 hub. Nothing runs to either camera, so a front gate and a rear yard can be covered the same afternoon without an electrician. The hub will carry up to four cameras in total, so there are two more positions available later without buying another hub.
2K QHD on Both Cameras
Each camera records at 2560 x 1440 on a 1/3 inch sensor through a fast 3.18 mm f/1.61 lens, covering 113 degrees at 15 or 20 fps with H.264 compression. That is enough resolution to identify a face at a gate rather than simply register that somebody was standing there, which is the point at which footage becomes useful to anyone but you.
Night Vision to 15 Metres and Months Per Charge
An 850 nm infrared array on each camera reaches up to 49 ft, or 15 m, in complete darkness. TP-Link's published battery figure is up to 180 days per camera, measured in its laboratory at 10 to 20 trigger events per day. On-device detection distinguishes motion from person, pet and vehicle events, so a cat on a wall is not what runs the batteries down.
IP65 Cameras, Indoor Hub
Both cameras are rated IP65 against water and dust at 110.6 x 64.2 x 64.2 mm, rated for -20 to 45 degrees Celsius. The H200 hub is a small indoor unit, 71.45 x 71.45 x 31.25 mm, that sits beside your router on its own 9 V supply, with SYNC and Reset buttons for pairing.
Ideal For
Singapore landed homes, shophouses, small offices and rented premises that need front and back covered with no cable runs, and buyers who want the option of expanding to four cameras on the same hub. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and volume pricing on request.

The camera figure is published on the Tapo C420S2 page; the hub figure is published on the Tapo H200 product page, which gives a narrower range.
The four-camera-per-hub limit is published by TP-Link on the Tapo C420S4 page, which states "Connect up to 4 cameras to a hub"; the Tapo C420S2 page and the Tapo H200 page publish no limit.
TP-Link publishes the local-storage capacity for this system only in its feature copy, which states that recordings save to the hub-installed microSD card up to 256 GB; no siren decibel rating, battery capacity in mAh, net weight or certification row is published for this system, so none is claimed here. A microSD card is purchased separately.
Compatibility & Software Support
The Tapo C420S2 is set up and operated through the Tapo app, which manages every Tapo camera, plug, bulb and sensor in one place. It is a consumer Wi-Fi system and is not part of the Omada or VIGI business ranges: it cannot be adopted into an Omada Controller and it is not managed by VIGI NVR software.
| Tapo App | Supported — setup and remote viewing from iOS and Android |
| Expansion | Up to 4 Tapo C420 cameras per H200 hub; 2 more can be added to this system |
| Wi-Fi Requirement | 2.4 GHz network required; the system does not join 5 GHz networks |
| Local Storage | Hub-installed microSD card, up to 256 GB. Card purchased separately |
| Tapo Care | Optional paid cloud storage subscription for snapshots and clips |
| Omada / VIGI Management | Not supported — the Tapo range is separate from TP-Link's Omada and VIGI business lines |
Where you need cameras that integrate with a business NVR or with central network management, ask SourceIT about the VIGI range instead.

Frequently Asked Questions — Tapo C420S2
What is in the box?
Two Tapo C420 cameras with their batteries fitted, one Tapo H200 hub, both power adapters, an RJ45 Ethernet cable and the mounting hardware for both cameras. A microSD card is not included.
Can I add more cameras?
Yes. The H200 hub carries up to four Tapo C420 cameras, so two more can be added to this system. Add-on cameras are bought separately.
Do both cameras need to be near the hub?
They connect to the hub rather than directly to your Wi-Fi, so hub placement matters. Site the hub centrally relative to both camera positions for the most reliable link.
What warranty covers the batteries?
The system carries two years local Singapore warranty as an outdoor camera. TP-Link Singapore's replacement warranty policy limits all internal batteries and battery packs to six months, so the cameras' built-in batteries are covered for six months.
Can SourceIT quote this in quantity?
Yes. Send the quantity and site details and we will quote, including add-on C420 cameras, microSD cards, mounting and any Tapo accessories you want supplied with them.
