PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

TP-Link Tapo Smart Hub with Chime (H100) - 1 Year Local Warranty

The Tapo H100 is the piece that makes the Tapo sensor range work. It plugs into a mains socket, bridges up to 64 Tapo sub-1 GHz devices onto your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and adds a built-in chime with 19 ringtones at up to 90 dB, so a door opening or a leak can be heard in the house as well as pushed to your phone.

Up to 64 Tapo Devices on One Hub

TP-Link states that "Each Tapo Hub can connect up to 64 Tapo devices throughout your home", which in practice means a whole flat or shop is covered by one unit - contact sensors on every door and window, motion sensors in the corridors, leak sensors under the wet areas, buttons and remotes where you want them. The hub speaks 868 / 922 MHz to those devices and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi to your router.

A Chime That Sounds in the Building, Not Just on Your Phone

The H100 has a siren built in: 19 ringtones at up to 90 dB. That matters because a push notification is only useful to whoever is holding the phone. An alarm at the hub is heard by everyone in the flat - the person in the shower, the child in the next room, the shop assistant behind the counter - and different tones let you tell a doorbell from a leak without looking. A SYNC/Mute button on the body silences it.

Why the Sensors Do Not Use Wi-Fi

TP-Link makes the design reasoning explicit in its own footnotes, reproduced here: "Compared with battery-powered devices using the Wi-Fi protocol" and "The terms less-crowded and lower frequency are compared to wireless network systems in the 2.4 GHz band." A sub-1 GHz link draws far less power than Wi-Fi, which is why Tapo sensors run for a year or more on a coin cell, and it sits in a quieter band than the 2.4 GHz your phones and TVs already share.

Plug-In, Flame-Retardant, No Batteries to Manage

The hub runs on AC 100~240 V, 50/60 Hz - a plain wall socket, no adapter brick to lose - and the housing is UL94-V0 flame-retardant material. At 72 x 62.5 x 51 mm it occupies one outlet without fouling the second on a twin plate, and the working range is 0~40 °C. The box contains the hub and the quick start guide; nothing else is needed to bring it up.

Ideal For

Any Singapore home, shop or small office starting or expanding a Tapo sensor system - it is the required first purchase for Tapo contact, motion, leak and temperature sensors, buttons and remote dimmers - and anyone who wants an audible local alarm rather than notifications alone. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty and GST invoice.
