PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

TP-Link Omada BE11000 Ceiling Mount Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Access Point, 2.5G PoE+ with Power Adapter Included (EAP770) - 5 Years Local Warranty

The EAP770 is Omada's BE11000 tri-band Wi-Fi 7 ceiling access point with a 2.5G PoE+ uplink. It adds a 6 GHz radio, Multi-Link Operation and 320 MHz channels to a standard 802.3at switch port, and TP-Link lists a power adapter in the box, so the same unit can be installed on PoE+ or run from a local DC supply where no PoE port is available.

Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7: 5765 Mbps on 6 GHz, 4324 Mbps on 5 GHz, 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz

Three simultaneous radios give the EAP770 its BE11000 rating. The 6 GHz band is the headline addition: it is clean spectrum that legacy clients cannot occupy and the only band on which TP-Link enables 320 MHz channels. The 5 GHz radio carries the bulk of today's Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 laptops and phones, while 2.4 GHz continues to serve printers, sensors and older devices. Omada rates the unit for 380+ concurrent clients across about 140 m² (1500 ft²).

MLO for Lower Latency Under Load

Multi-Link Operation lets a Wi-Fi 7 client hold links on more than one band at the same time and move traffic away from whichever has become congested. For video calls, voice and interactive applications that means fewer latency spikes and less jitter when the floor is busy, rather than a client sitting on one crowded channel waiting for a band-steer decision.

4096-QAM for Higher Capacity

Wi-Fi 7 raises modulation to 4K-QAM, packing 12 bits into each symbol instead of Wi-Fi 6's 10. Clients close to a ceiling AP with a strong signal move more data in the same airtime, which frees the channel for everyone else. It works alongside MU-MIMO, OFDMA, BSS Colouring, band steering, load balancing and airtime fairness, all listed in TP-Link's specification.

2.5G PoE+ Port, 25.4 W Maximum Draw

A single 2.5G Ethernet port carries both data and 802.3at PoE+ power, so the AP's wired uplink is not capped at Gigabit and a standard PoE+ switch can power it. Maximum consumption is 25.4 W on PoE or 21.8 W on 12V/2.5A DC. Ceiling, wall and junction-box mounting kits are included.

Secure Guest Networks: 24 SSIDs, SMS Login, WPA3 and Rogue AP Detection

Up to 24 SSIDs (8 per band) let one AP separate staff, guest, IoT and voice networks, each mapped to its own VLAN. Captive portal and SMS login handle guest onboarding, WPA3-Personal/Enterprise protects the wireless edge, the MAC filter holds up to 4,000 entries, and rogue AP detection flags unauthorised transmitters. Under Omada SDN the EAP770 is managed alongside Omada gateways and switches from Omada Central (cloud), a hardware controller or the software controller.

Ideal For

Singapore offices, schools, clinics, retail and hospitality sites moving to tri-band Wi-Fi 7 on 2.5G PoE+ switching, and IT teams or MSPs standardising on Omada so access points, switches and gateways are managed from one controller. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

The EAP770 is part of the Omada ecosystem: gateways, switches and access points are managed together from one controller, under one set of policies, with one view of the network. Omada Mesh, Seamless Roaming, Captive Portal and Cloud Access require the device to be adopted into an Omada controller.

Omada SDN Controller Supported — Omada Cloud-Based Controller, Hardware Controller or Software Controller
Omada App Supported — remote management from iOS and Android
Omada Cloud Access Supported — requires an Omada controller
Standalone Mode Supported — web-based management
Client Requirements Wi-Fi 7 features (MLO, 320 MHz, 6 GHz, 4K-QAM, Multi-RUs, OFDMA, MU-MIMO) require clients that also support them

Frequently Asked Questions — EAP770

Does the EAP770 need an Omada Controller?

No. It can be managed standalone through its web interface. Adopting it into Omada Central, a hardware controller or the software controller unlocks central configuration, monitoring, firmware management, Mesh, Seamless Roaming, Captive Portal and cloud/app access.

How does it differ from the EAP772?

Both are BE11000 tri-band Wi-Fi 7 ceiling APs with a 2.5G 802.3at PoE+ port in a 220 × 220 × 32.5 mm chassis. TP-Link lists a power adapter in the EAP770 box and ceiling, wall and junction-box mounting kits.

What warranty does SourceIT provide?

Five years local Singapore warranty. Every EAP770 sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
