TP-Link AX11000 Next-Gen Tri-Band Gaming Router (Archer AX11000) - 3 Years Local Warranty
The Archer AX11000 is TP-Link's twelve-stream gaming flagship: two 5 GHz bands at 4804 Mbps each plus 1148 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, a 1.8 GHz 64-bit quad-core processor, eight detachable antennas, a 2.5 Gbps WAN port and eight Gigabit LAN ports. It is the only router in this range with a Game Center dashboard and eight wired ports.
Twelve Streams Across Two Full-Rate 5 GHz Bands
Both 5 GHz radios run at 4804 Mbps with HE160, and 2.4 GHz adds 1148 Mbps — double the 574 Mbps most Archer models publish on that band. Twelve streams, 4×4 MU-MIMO and OFDMA mean the router can hold a very large number of clients without the round-robin delays that show up as stutter. TP-Link rates coverage at four-to-six-bedroom houses, the widest figure in this family.
Eight Gigabit LAN Ports and a 2.5 Gbps WAN Port
Wired capacity is the AX11000's other distinguishing feature: eight Gigabit LAN ports, with static link aggregation available across two of them, plus a dedicated 2.5 Gbps WAN port for a multi-gig fibre service. For a gaming room or a study with a desktop, a console, a capture box, a NAS and a switch, that removes the usual need for a second switch. TP-Link notes 2.5 Gbps internet speed requires a compatible ISP plan.
Game Center: Accelerator, Statistics and Protector
Game Center is specific to this model in the current Archer line-up. Game Accelerator detects and optimises gaming streams to hold latency down; Game Statistics reports real-time latency, system utilisation and game duration on a dashboard; and Game Protector applies HomeCare antivirus protection to accounts and systems. Quality of Service runs as Game Accelerator QoS, QoS by device and HomeCare QoS by application.
USB-C and USB-A 3.0 Ports
The AX11000 carries one USB-C 3.0 and one USB-A 3.0 port — the only router in this range with a USB-C port. Both read NTFS, exFAT, HFS+ and FAT32 volumes and publish them as an FTP server, media server or Samba share, with Apple Time Machine support. Eight detachable antennas mean they can be replaced or repositioned, unlike the fixed arrays on the rest of the Archer range.
HomeCare Security, WPA3 and OneMesh
Security is HomeCare rather than HomeShield: a malicious site checker, port intrusion prevention, infected device isolation, and notification and logging, on top of the SPI firewall, access control, IP and MAC binding and an application layer gateway. WPA3 is published for this model, with the caveat below. OpenVPN and PPTP run as servers; OpenVPN, PPTP and L2TP as clients. The router is OneMesh-supported. TP-Link notes that WPA3 and the VPN client both require a later firmware upgrade.

TP-Link publishes no net weight and no coverage area in square feet for the Archer AX11000; neither has been filled in from another source. TP-Link also notes this router may not support every mandatory feature ratified in Draft 3.0 of the IEEE 802.11ax specification, and that WPA3 and the VPN client each require a later firmware upgrade.
