TP-Link Archer TX50UH AX3000 High Gain Wireless USB Adapter
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link AX3000 High Gain Wireless USB Adapter (Archer TX50UH) - 3 Years Local Warranty
The Archer TX50UH is TP-Link's upright, cradle-mounted AX3000 USB adapter: 111.7 mm tall, with two high-gain dual-band antennas and a USB 3.0 cradle in the box. Published signal rates are up to 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz across IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax. Supplied by SourceIT in Singapore with three years of local warranty.
Desk-Standing Cradle Included
The USB 3.0 cradle listed in the package contents is what sets this model apart from a flush dongle. It lifts the adapter off the back of a desktop, away from a metal chassis and out from behind a monitor stand, which is often the single largest factor in real-world Wi-Fi performance on a tower PC. At 30.5 x 14.8 x 111.7 mm (1.2 x 0.58 x 4.4 in) the adapter stands upright on the desk, and a single Status LED confirms the link at a glance.
Two High-Gain Dual-Band Antennas
TP-Link publishes two high-gain dual-band antennas for the Archer TX50UH, with transmission power of 15 dBm (FCC) on 5 GHz and 15 dBm (FCC) on 2.4 GHz. High-gain antennas give the adapter more to work with where an internal laptop card or a flush dongle drops out - a study two walls from the access point, or a desktop in the corner of an office. The adapter operates in Infrastructure mode, connecting to an existing router or access point.
AX3000 Dual-Band Signal Rates
The Archer TX50UH supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax on both bands. On 5 GHz, published signal rates are 11ax: up to 2402 Mbps; 11ac: up to 1733 Mbps; 11n: up to 300 Mbps; 11a: up to 54 Mbps. On 2.4 GHz, published signal rates are 11ax: up to 574 Mbps; 11n: up to 300 Mbps; 11g: up to 54 Mbps; 11b: up to 11 Mbps. The 802.11ax rates require an access point that also supports 802.11ax. Published figures are physical-layer maximums, not measured throughput.
Security and Compliance
Published wireless security is WEP, WPA/WPA2/WPA3 and WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK, so WPA3 networks are supported alongside older WPA2 estates - useful where a Singapore office runs a mix of new and legacy access points. Certification is published as FCC, CE and RoHS. Operating temperature is 0 to 40 °C (32 to 104 °F), which comfortably covers an air-conditioned office or a home study.
Windows Only - Check Before Ordering
Published system requirements are Windows 10 and 11. The TP-Link Singapore download centre refines this to Windows 10 32/64-bit and Windows 11 64-bit, with the driver on record published 28 September 2023. No macOS or Linux support is published for this model, so please confirm the platform before ordering.
Ideal For
Singapore desktop users and small offices running Windows where the PC sits under a desk or against a wall and signal strength is the limiting factor - the cradle-mounted, high-gain design is the practical answer to a metal case blocking the antenna. Also suited to older desktops that have no Wi-Fi at all and need a Wi-Fi 6 upgrade without opening the case. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and volume pricing on request.
