The Archer AXE300 is the top of TP-Link's Wi-Fi 6E range: four radios totalling AXE16000, sixteen streams, a 2.0 GHz quad-core processor, and two 10 Gbps ports — one of them an RJ45/SFP+ combo. It is the only router in this family that can take a 10 Gbps fibre uplink without a separate media converter.
Four Radios, Sixteen Streams
The AXE300 publishes 4804 Mbps on 6 GHz, 4804 Mbps on each of two separate 5 GHz radios, and 1148 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. Two full-rate 5 GHz bands plus a clean 6 GHz band means a heavily loaded household can be split three ways before anything shares a channel. Sixteen streams with 4×4 MU-MIMO, OFDMA, Airtime Fairness and DFS keep clients served concurrently rather than in sequence.
Two 10 Gbps Ports, One With an SFP+ Combo
Wired capability is what sets this model apart: a 10 Gbps RJ45/SFP+ combo WAN/LAN port, a second 10 Gbps WAN/LAN port, a 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN port and four 1 Gbps LAN ports. The SFP+ combo accepts a fibre module directly, so a 10G fibre service or a 10G link to a switch or NAS terminates at the router. Real throughput is still bounded by your ISP plan, the cabling or optics, and the device at the other end.
A Clean 6 GHz Band for Recent Devices
The 6 GHz band can only be used by Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 clients, which is what keeps it clear of legacy traffic — valuable in a dense Singapore condominium where 5 GHz channels from neighbouring units overlap. Each of the four radios also gets its own guest network: 6 GHz, 5 GHz-1, 5 GHz-2 and 2.4 GHz, so visitor or IoT traffic can be isolated on a band of its own.
Eight Antennas and a 2.0 GHz Quad-Core Processor
Eight fixed high-performance antennas with Beamforming, a high-power front-end module and 4T4R deliver TP-Link's rated four-bedroom coverage, in a compact 232 × 232 × 68 mm chassis rather than the tall tower shape of the AXE95. A 2.0 GHz quad-core processor, the fastest in this line-up, carries NAT, QoS, HomeShield and VPN duty simultaneously; the unit draws 12 V DC at 5 A.
WPA3, HomeShield, OneMesh and Full VPN — Plus One Note
Encryption covers WPA3, WPA2, WPA and WPA/WPA2-Enterprise with 802.1x. HomeShield adds real-time IoT protection, malicious site blocking, intrusion prevention, DDoS attack prevention and a network scanner. OpenVPN, PPTP and L2TP run as both server and client, and the router is OneMesh-supported. Note that TP-Link's certification row for this model reads "FCC, RoHS" with no CE mark, and transmission power is quoted for FCC only; reproduced as published.

Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E and features including OFDMA, 1024-QAM and HE160 require clients that support them. Not all seven 160 MHz channels may be available in the 6 GHz band in some regions due to regulatory restrictions.

Can I plug fibre straight into the AXE300?
Yes, into the 10 Gbps RJ45/SFP+ combo port with a suitable SFP+ module, which is not included. Ask us and we will quote a matching optic or DAC.
How does it differ from the AXE95?
The AXE300 adds a fourth radio (a second full-rate 5 GHz band), doubles to sixteen streams, moves from a 2.5 Gbps top port to two 10 Gbps ports, and uses a faster 2.0 GHz quad-core processor.
Does it support Time Machine backups?
TP-Link does not list Apple Time Machine among the AXE300's USB functions. FTP server, media server and Samba server are published.
