The Archer AX95 is TP-Link's eight-stream tri-band Wi-Fi 6 router: 4804 Mbps on the first 5 GHz band, 2402 Mbps on the second, 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor, a 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN port and two USB ports. TP-Link rates it for four-bedroom houses — a step above the three-bedroom AX5400 models.

AX7800 Across Three Radios and Eight Streams

The AX95 gives a full-rate 4804 Mbps 5 GHz-1 band with HE160, a second 5 GHz band at 2402 Mbps, and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. That combination is the reason to choose it over a tri-band AX5400: you get both a genuinely fast 5 GHz lane for a workstation or console and a second 5 GHz band to park everything else on. Eight streams with 4×4 MU-MIMO and OFDMA keep multiple clients served concurrently.

Multi-Gig WAN and Flexible Wired Ports

Wired networking is a 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN port, a 1 Gbps WAN/LAN port and three 1 Gbps LAN ports. Both of the first two can be assigned as WAN or LAN, so the 2.5 Gbps port can take a multi-gig fibre service, or feed a NAS or 2.5G switch if your plan does not need it. Actual throughput is still bounded by the ISP plan, the cable and the device at the far end.

Eight Antennas Rated for Four-Bedroom Coverage

Eight fixed high-performance antennas form the array, with Beamforming aiming signal at each client, a high-power front-end module lifting transmission power, and 4T4R adding fault tolerance in each band. TP-Link rates the result at four-bedroom houses. Airtime Fairness prevents a slow legacy client from holding the channel, and DFS gives access to extra 5 GHz channels where regulations permit.

Two USB Ports for Storage and Sharing

Unusually for this class, the AX95 carries both a USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0 port, so a drive and a second device can be attached at once. Supported volume formats are NTFS, exFAT, HFS+ and FAT32, and TP-Link publishes FTP server, media server and Samba server functions for them. Note that Apple Time Machine is not listed in the AX95's published USB function list, unlike several other Archer models; we have not carried that claim across.

WPA3, HomeShield, OneMesh and Three-Protocol VPN

Encryption covers WPA3, WPA2, WPA and WPA/WPA2-Enterprise with 802.1x, with three separate guest networks — one per radio. HomeShield adds real-time IoT protection, a malicious site blocker, intrusion prevention, DDoS attack prevention and a home network scanner. OpenVPN, PPTP and L2TP run as both server and client, and the router is OneMesh-supported for pairing with TP-Link extenders.
