TP-Link AX1500 Wi-Fi 6 Router (Archer AX12) - 3 Years Local Warranty
The Archer AX12 is the compact AX1500 in TP-Link's Wi-Fi 6 range — 215 mm wide against the AX10's 260 mm — rated 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz and 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz over four Gigabit ports. It supports WPA3-Personal and EasyMesh, and suits a smaller flat or a second room where the router has to sit in the open.
AX1500 Speeds in a Smaller Chassis
TP-Link rates the AX12 at 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz using 802.11ax and 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz using 802.11n, so the Wi-Fi 6 speed applies to the 5 GHz band while 2.4 GHz runs the older standard. Four streams with OFDMA let the router serve several Wi-Fi 6 clients inside a single transmission slot, and Airtime Fairness stops a slow legacy device holding the channel. The chassis measures 215 × 117 × 32 mm, noticeably smaller than the rest of the Archer line.
Four Fixed Antennas and Beamforming
Coverage comes from four fixed high-performance antennas and Beamforming, which aims signal towards connected devices rather than radiating evenly. TP-Link rates the result at two-to-three-bedroom houses. Working modes are Router and Access Point, so the AX12 can either replace an ISP-supplied router or sit behind one and take over the wireless side. Power is 12 V DC, 1 A.
Four Gigabit Ports — One WAN and Three LAN
Wired connectivity is one Gigabit WAN port and three Gigabit LAN ports. That is one fewer LAN port than the Archer AX10 and most of the range, which is worth checking against your wired devices before ordering. Physical controls are a WPS/Wi-Fi button and a reset button; TP-Link publishes no power on/off button for this model, and no USB port.
WPA3-Personal and EasyMesh
TP-Link publishes encryption for this model as WPA2-PSK, WPA2-PSK/WPA-PSK, WPA3-Personal, WPA3-Personal/WPA2-PSK, WPA2-Enterprise and WPA/WPA2-Enterprise. Network security is an SPI firewall, access control, IP and MAC binding and an application layer gateway, with OpenVPN and PPTP server roles. Mesh is EasyMesh only: TP-Link publishes no OneMesh row for the AX12, unlike the AX10 and AX23.
Parental Controls and Management
Parental controls are the basic set — URL filtering and time controls — with QoS by device. Management is through the TP-Link Tether app or a browser, with TP-Link ID, automatic and OTA firmware upgrades and DDNS through the cloud service. TP-Link's specification table for the AX12 publishes no processor row, no MU-MIMO row, no USB row and no HomeShield service kit, although its page footnotes and marketing copy mention MU-MIMO. No claim is made here for any of them.
Ideal For

How many LAN ports does the AX12 have?
Three Gigabit LAN ports plus one Gigabit WAN port. Most of the Archer range, including the AX10, publishes four LAN ports — check your wired device count before ordering.
Does it support OneMesh?
TP-Link publishes EasyMesh compatibility for this model but no OneMesh row. If you already own TP-Link OneMesh extenders, the Archer AX10 or AX23 publish OneMesh support.
Is there a power button?
TP-Link lists only a WPS/Wi-Fi button and a reset button for the AX12. No power on/off button is published.
