TP-Link 5-Port 10G Multi-Gigabit Desktop Switch
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link 5-Port 10G Desktop Switch (TL-SX105) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The TL-SX105 is TP-Link's five-port 10G desktop switch: five RJ45 ports that each negotiate 100 Mbps, 1G, 2.5G, 5G or 10G, in a fanless metal case with nothing to configure. It is the straightforward way to put a NAS, a workstation and a multi-gigabit uplink on 10G without buying a managed switch or adding fan noise to a room.
Five Ports Covering Every Copper Speed to 10G
Each port supports 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps, 5 Gbps and 10 Gbps with auto-negotiation and auto-MDI/MDIX. In practice that means mixed equipment simply works: a 10G NAS, a 2.5G access point and a Gigabit printer all link at their own rate, and a cable run that cannot sustain 10G negotiates down to 5G or 2.5G instead of failing. No crossover cables, no speed selection, no port configuration.
100 Gbps Capacity and 10 KB Jumbo Frames
Switching capacity is 100 Gbps with a 74.4 Mpps forwarding rate — enough for line-rate 10G on every port at once. A 32 K MAC address table and 2 Mb packet buffer support it, with store-and-forward switching and 10 KB jumbo frame support. Jumbo frames matter on storage traffic in particular, where larger payloads mean fewer interrupts and measurably better sustained throughput to a NAS.
Fanless, So It Can Live on a Desk
The TL-SX105 has no fan. Maximum power consumption is 21.4 W from an external 12 VDC / 2.0 A adapter, low enough to cool passively in a 226 x 131 x 35 mm case. For an edit suite, a recording space or a small meeting room, a silent switch is not a luxury — it is the difference between the switch sitting by the equipment it serves and being exiled to a cupboard with a long cable run.
Flow Control and QoS Without Any Setup
Although unmanaged, the switch applies 802.3x flow control and honours the 802.1p and DSCP priority markings set by the devices attached to it. Traffic that upstream equipment has already classed as latency-sensitive keeps that treatment through the switch, which helps when voice, video and file transfers share the same five ports.
Ideal For
Singapore studios, small offices, home labs and meeting rooms building a compact 10G island around shared storage, and anyone who needs multi-gigabit speed without a managed switch to administer. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Compatibility & Software Support
The TL-SX105 is an unmanaged switch. It has no web interface, no CLI and no configuration of any kind — it forwards traffic as soon as it is powered on, and it is not part of the Omada managed range.
| Omada SDN Controller | Not supported — the TL-SX105 cannot be adopted into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller |
| Omada App | Not supported |
| Omada Cloud Access | Not supported |
| Web / CLI Management | None — the switch is unmanaged by design |
| Works Alongside Omada | Yes — it will carry traffic for Omada access points, gateways and cameras perfectly well; those devices remain managed by the controller themselves, and the switch simply does not appear in it |
| Cabling | 10G over Cat 6a is the safe specification for long runs. On Cat 5e or shorter Cat 6 runs the ports will negotiate 2.5G or 5G instead. |
TP-Link publishes the same electrical, mechanical and performance figures for the Omada-branded DS105X. If central management is not required, the two are interchangeable in practice — ask SourceIT which is in stock.
Package Contents & Ordering Information
What's in the Box
| Package Contents | 5-Port 10G Multi-Gigabit Desktop/Rackmount Switch TL-SX105, Power Cord, Installation Guide, Rubber Feet |
TP-Link's published package-contents list names a power cord while the hardware table specifies an external 12 VDC / 2.0 A power adapter, and no rackmount kit is listed despite the product name. Both entries are reproduced exactly as published — ask SourceIT to confirm carton contents if it matters to your installation.

Frequently Asked Questions — TL-SX105
Can the TL-SX105 be managed or monitored?
No. It is unmanaged — there is no web interface, no CLI and no SNMP, and it cannot be adopted into an Omada Controller. It forwards traffic as soon as it is powered on.
How is it different from the Omada DS105X?
TP-Link publishes the same port count, speeds, switching capacity, dimensions and power figures for both. The difference is the product line: the DS105X carries Omada branding, the TL-SX105 sits in TP-Link's SOHO switch range. Neither can be managed from an Omada Controller.
Do I need Cat 6a cabling?
For reliable 10G over a full-length run, yes. Existing Cat 5e or shorter Cat 6 runs will still connect, negotiating 2.5G or 5G rather than dropping to 1G.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty. Every TL-SX105 sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?
Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole build — switching, optics, access points and gateways — with local warranty and support.
