PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

TP-Link 10-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch with 8-Port PoE+ (TL-SG1210MP) - 5 Years Local Warranty

The TL-SG1210MP is the workhorse of TP-Link's desktop PoE range: eight 802.3at PoE+ ports sharing a 123 W budget, a ninth Gigabit port and a combo SFP/RJ45 uplink, all in a silent fanless chassis with a security lock. Extend Mode, Isolation Mode and PoE Auto Recovery are set by hardware switches, so the unit is configured by flipping a toggle rather than opening a browser.

Eight PoE+ Ports on a 123 W Budget

Ports 1 to 8 are 802.3af and 802.3at compliant, drawing from a shared 123 W supply fed by an external 53.5 V DC adapter. Eight typical 802.3af cameras or access points at 12 to 15 W each fit comfortably inside that budget; a mix including full 30 W 802.3at devices will reach the ceiling sooner. Full-load consumption is 141.40 W, and just 7.93 W with nothing powered.

Extend Mode Reaches 250 m, PoE Auto Recovery Saves the Call-Out

Extend Mode pushes power and data to 250 m rather than the standard 100 m, at reduced speed — enough to reach a gate camera, a car park reader or an outbuilding AP without an intermediate cabinet. PoE Auto Recovery monitors powered devices and power-cycles a port when one stops responding, which resolves the most common cause of a "dead camera" site visit. Isolation Mode separates client ports from each other for guest or public segments, and Priority Mode guarantees bandwidth on the first ports.

Combo SFP Uplink and a 20 Gbps Fabric

Nine Gigabit RJ45 ports plus one Gigabit combo SFP/RJ45 port sit on a 20 Gbps switching fabric with a 14.88 Mpps forwarding rate. The combo slot takes a fibre module when the run to the core exceeds copper distance or crosses a building, or a copper patch when it does not — you choose per installation rather than paying for an unused port. A 4K MAC address table and 16 KB jumbo frame support handle a busy access layer and continuous NVR traffic.

Fanless, Lockable, Desk or Wall

At 209 x 126 x 26 mm with no fan, the TL-SG1210MP is silent and unobtrusive enough for a reception area, a meeting room or a shop back office — places where a fan-cooled rack switch would be intrusive. A physical security lock slot deters casual removal in publicly accessible spaces, which matters when the switch is out in the open rather than in a locked cabinet.

Ideal For

Singapore offices, retail units, clinics and schools powering up to eight cameras, access points or VoIP phones where quiet operation and no configuration are the priorities. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Frequently Asked Questions — TL-SG1210MP

How does this compare with the TL-SG1210PP?

Both are ten-port desktop switches with a 123 W budget. The TL-SG1210MP gives eight 802.3af/at PoE+ ports; the TL-SG1210PP gives six PoE+ ports plus two 802.3bt PoE++ ports for devices that need more than 30 W. Choose the MP when everything on site is a standard PoE+ device.

Can it be adopted into an Omada Controller?

No. It is unmanaged and will not appear in a controller, though it powers and connects Omada access points normally. Ask us about the JetStream smart and managed ranges if the switch itself needs to be managed.

What does the combo SFP port do?

It shares its position with a copper port, so you use either a fibre SFP module or a standard RJ45 patch on that one link. It is normally used for the uplink back to a router or core switch when the run is long or crosses a building.

What warranty does SourceIT provide?

Five years local Singapore warranty, in line with TP-Link's replacement warranty policy for unmanaged PoE switches. Every unit sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.

Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?

Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole build — switching, access points, cameras and optics — with local warranty and support.
