TP-Link Omada 8-Port 2.5G L2+ Managed Switch with 2 10GE SFP+ Slots
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link Omada 8-Port 2.5G L2+ Managed Switch (SG3210X-M2) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The SG3210X-M2 gives a small site eight 2.5 Gbps copper ports and two 10G SFP+ uplinks in a fanless half-width chassis. Behind the modest port count sits a full L2+ feature set - static routing, DHCP server, 802.1X, QinQ and complete IPv6 - so a branch or a floor gets enterprise switching without enterprise noise. There is no PoE on this model.
Eight 2.5 Gbps Ports for Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 7 and NAS
The eight RJ45 ports run at 2.5 Gbps over the Cat5e or Cat6 already in the wall, which is exactly what modern access points, NAS boxes and workstations need once a Gigabit port becomes the bottleneck. A Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7 AP can exceed 1 Gbps on its wired side, so feeding it from a 2.5G port is what lets the radio actually deliver what it advertises. Eight ports suits a floor of APs, a small studio or a compact server cupboard.
Two 10G SFP+ Uplinks on an 80 Gbps Fabric
Two 10G SFP+ slots carry the switch back to the core, with enough headroom that eight fully loaded 2.5G ports never saturate the uplink, and enough redundancy to build a LAG or a second path. Switching capacity is 80 Gbps at 59.52 Mpps - non-blocking across all ten ports - with a 16 K MAC table, 12 Mbit packet buffer and 9 KB jumbo frame support for storage and backup traffic.
Static Routing, DHCP Server and 32 IP Interfaces
The SG3210X-M2 carries real L3 features: 32 IPv4/IPv6 interfaces, 48 static routes, 128 static ARP entries, proxy and gratuitous ARP, a DHCP server and DHCP interface, VLAN and L2 relay. That lets a branch office route between its own VLANs locally rather than hairpinning every packet to a head-office firewall, and hand out addresses without a separate server. VLAN support runs to 4K groups with 802.1Q tagging, 256 MAC VLAN entries, protocol VLAN, GVRP, QinQ and voice VLAN.
802.1X, IP-MAC-Port Binding and Full IPv6
Security is the enterprise set: 802.1X port and MAC-based authentication with MAB, guest VLAN and RADIUS, AAA with TACACS+, IP-MAC-Port and IPv6-MAC-Port binding at 512 entries each with DHCP snooping, ARP inspection and source guard, DoS defend, port security up to 64 MAC addresses per port, storm control, port isolation, and encrypted management over HTTPS with TLS 1.2 and SSH. IPv6 is a full dual stack with static IPv6 routing, MLD snooping, IPv6 ACLs and DHCPv6.
Fanless, Rack or Desktop, 15 W
At 294 x 180 x 44 mm the switch is half the width of a full rack unit and can be racked or sat on a desk. It is fanless and draws a maximum of 15.0 W, so it is silent and can live in an occupied room - a meeting room, a studio, a clinic or a reception cupboard. Operating temperature runs to 50 degrees Celsius, useful in a poorly ventilated riser cabinet. Management is via the Omada controller, Web GUI, CLI, SNMP v1/v2c/v3 or the Omada app.
Ideal For
Singapore branch offices, studios, clinics and small sites deploying Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7 access points, NAS and workstations that need 2.5G access and 10G uplinks under central Omada management. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Frequently Asked Questions — SG3210X-M2
Does the SG3210X-M2 supply PoE?
No. This model has no PoE output. If the access points or cameras need to be powered over Ethernet, use the SG3210XHP-M2, which is the 8-port 2.5G model with 8-port PoE+.
Can it route between VLANs?
Yes. It supports 32 IPv4/IPv6 interfaces with 48 static routes, a DHCP server and DHCP relay, so a branch can route locally instead of sending inter-VLAN traffic to a central firewall.
Is it quiet enough for an office?
Yes — the design is fanless and maximum power consumption is 15.0 W, so there is no fan noise and no fan to fail.
Does it need an Omada Controller?
No. It runs standalone through its Web GUI, CLI or SNMP. Adopting it into an Omada Cloud-Based, Software or Hardware Controller is what enables central configuration, the Omada app, cloud access and Zero-Touch Provisioning across every Omada device on site.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty. Every SG3210X-M2 sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?
Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole Omada build — controller, gateway, switching, access points and optics — with local warranty and support.
