Entry-Level Enterprise Wi-Fi 6 for Mid-Density Spaces
The HPE Aruba Networking AP-505 (RW) is a dual-radio 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) indoor campus access point with 2x2 MIMO on both the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz radios. HPE rates it at up to 1.2 Gbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, for a maximum combined data rate of 1.49 Gbps.
It supports up to 256 associated client devices per radio and up to 16 BSSIDs per radio, making it a sensible choice for offices, meeting rooms and classrooms that need reliable Wi-Fi 6 without paying for 4x4 radios.
Wi-Fi 6 Efficiency: OFDMA, MU-MIMO and Target Wake Time
OFDMA and multi-user MIMO let the AP serve several Wi-Fi 6 clients in the same transmission, improving efficiency when many devices are connected. Target Wake Time (TWT) helps battery-powered and IoT client devices save power.
Built-In Bluetooth 5 and Zigbee IoT Radio
An integrated Bluetooth 5 and 802.15.4 radio (for Zigbee support) lets the AP double as an IoT and location gateway, and a USB 2.0 host port can supply up to 5W to an attached device.
Deploy It Your Way: Cloud, Controller or Stand-Alone
HPE lists the AP-505 as able to run stand-alone (Instant) or with a gateway or controller for greater scalability, security and manageability, managed from HPE Aruba Networking Central in the cloud or on-premises.
Runs on Standard 802.3af or 802.3at PoE
The AP-505 draws PoE from a standard 802.3af/at (class 3 or 4) switch port or a 12 Vdc adapter. On 802.3af with HPE's Intelligent Power Monitoring (IPM) disabled, the AP disables its USB port; all other functions continue to run.
Supplied in Singapore with a Limited Lifetime Warranty
