Any notebook with a USB-C port supporting DisplayPort Alt Mode can drive the 549pm over one cable, which also carries the camera, audio, Ethernet and USB hub and delivers up to 140 W of power. A second USB-C video input allows two notebooks to stay connected. PCs without USB-C connect over DisplayPort 1.4 or HDMI 2.1.
Software
HP Display Center handles display settings and screen partitioning, which is useful for dividing the 32:9 panel into zones; the HP Client Management Script Library supports remote management by IT.
Typical Use
Executive desks, trading, analytics and timeline work, and video-first roles replacing a dual-monitor, webcam and dock set-up with one display.
