Gateway, Security and Wi-Fi Controller in One
The H3C WSG1808X-PWR is a wireless integrated multi-service gateway for SMB networks. It combines router/gateway, firewall security and wireless access controller (AC) functions in one compact desktop unit running Comware V7.
PoE+ for Your Access Points
Eight ports supply 802.3af/at PoE+ at up to 30 W per port, with an 80 W total PoE budget, so APs, IP phones and cameras can be powered straight from the gateway.
Manage Up to 24 APs
12 AP licences are built in — enough for 12 standard APs or 24 wall-plate APs — with up to 24 managed APs as licences are added. H3C rates wireless throughput at 2 Gbps.
VPN, Routing and Threat Protection
NAT, PPPoE, DDNS, DHCP, IPsec and SSL VPN, GRE, static/OSPF/BGP/policy routing, link load balancing, plus firewall, ACLs, DPI, antivirus, URL filtering and WIDS/WIPS rogue-AP protection.

Compatibility & Software Support
Management
Per H3C's product page: web interface, CLI, Telnet and FTP for deployment, SNMP v1/v2/v3 and RMON for network management, plus cloud management. The gateway runs H3C's Comware V7 platform.
Supported Access Points
H3C lists these SMB APs as supported: WA6020, WA6120, WA6126, WA6120X, WA6120H, WA6022H and WA7130. Ordinary APs use 1 licence each and wall-plate APs use 0.5.
AP Licence Add-Ons
Extra AP capacity is added with H3C LIS-WX-1-SME-OVS, LIS-WX-4-SME-OVS or LIS-WX-8-SME-OVS licences, up to 24 managed APs.

The WSG1808X-PWR does not support rack mounting and no mounting brackets are included; H3C's installation guide covers workbench (rubber feet) and wall mounting. It is powered by an external 54 V power adapter. SFP+ transceivers are not included.

Can the WSG1808X-PWR be rack mounted?
No. It is a desktop unit for workbench or wall mounting; rack mounting is not supported and no brackets are included. For rack installation choose the WSG1812X-PWR or WSG1840X.
