Compatibility & Fit
VESA fit. The Glide HD supports VESA MIS-D, MIS-E and MIS-F, with a horizontal range of 200–400 mm and a vertical range of 100–400 mm. Note the horizontal minimum of 200 mm: a small monitor with a 100 x 100 mm pattern falls below the minimum horizontal spacing and is not a direct fit. Check your display's pattern before ordering.
Screen size and weight. Weight is the critical figure here and the window is narrower than on a fixed mount: 20–40 lb (9.1–18.1 kg). A counterbalance has to be loaded within its designed range to work — too light and the display drifts upward, too heavy and it sinks. If your panel weighs less than 20 lb or more than 40 lb, the Glide HD is the wrong specification; the Glide VHD (61-128-085) covers 45–70 lb.
Single screen only. The Glide HD carries one display. Ergotron does not publish a dual-screen configuration for this mount.
Wall substrate — read this before ordering. Ergotron supports timber stud and solid wall installation, and explicitly prohibits mounting to 1/2 in (13 mm) drywall; 5/8 in (16 mm) is the stated minimum. Because the Glide carries a moving load rather than a static one, substrate matters more than it does for a fixed bracket. Singapore fit-outs frequently mix solid concrete cores with lightweight partitions, so confirm the wall construction at the exact mounting position, not just the room.
Ultrawide and curved displays. Ergotron publishes no separate ultrawide or curved rating. The binding constraints remain the VESA pattern and the 20–40 lb counterbalance window. An ultrawide panel that sits in that weight band and matches the VESA range will mount, but contact SourceIT to confirm clearance for deeply curved panels.

How far up and down does the display actually move?

What happens if my monitor is lighter than 20 lb?
It falls below the counterbalance range and the mechanism will not hold position properly — the display will tend to rise. Stay inside the published 20–40 lb window. If your display is heavier than 40 lb, specify the Glide Wall Mount, VHD instead, which covers 45–70 lb (20.4–31.8 kg).
Will it fit my display's VESA pattern?

Only if the drywall is at least 5/8 in (16 mm) thick. Ergotron's installation guide explicitly states you must not mount this product to 1/2 in (13 mm) drywall. Timber studs and solid walls are both supported. How does the Glide HD compare with the TM Tilting Wall Mount?
They solve different problems. The Glide HD is a two-axis product — 18 in of counterbalanced height adjustment plus 10° tilt — for shared rooms where users differ in height.
