Service or Replace Your UPS Without Shutting Down
The Eaton HotSwap MBP (MBP3KID) is a 1U maintenance bypass that sits between the mains, your UPS and your loads. Turn the rotary bypass switch and the connected equipment stays powered from the mains while the UPS is serviced, hot-swapped or upgraded, avoiding a planned outage.
DIN (Schuko) Outlets Plus a 16 A IEC Socket
This DIN version is rated 3000 VA at 200–240 V and provides 4 x Schuko (CEE 7) outlets plus 1 x IEC C19 from an IEC C20 input. It suits equipment fitted with Schuko plugs; for BS 1363 (Type G) or IEC-corded rack equipment, the IEC version MBP3KI is usually the better fit in Singapore.
Flexible Mounting
The HotSwap MBP mounts horizontally or vertically in a 19-inch rack (1U), and Eaton also lists wall mounting or mounting on Eaton 9PX/SX UPSs. A rack-mounting kit, cable locking system and the connection cable to the UPS are included.

Which UPS Does It Suit?
Eaton's Singapore price list offers the MBP3KID with the Eaton 5PX range. Eaton describes the HotSwap MBP family as compatible with Eaton UPSs and UPSs from other suppliers, with the range covering UPSs up to 11 kVA; this model is rated 3000 VA, so size it to a UPS of 3000 VA or less. Send us your UPS model and we will confirm the fit.
Software
The HotSwap MBP is a passive bypass with no communication interface or software. Monitoring stays with your UPS and its network card.
Outlets
4 x Schuko (CEE 7) outputs and 1 x IEC C19, with an IEC C20 input. Singapore BS 1363 (Type G) plugs do not fit Schuko sockets; choose the IEC version MBP3KI if your equipment uses IEC or Type G leads.

What does a maintenance bypass do?
It lets you switch the connected load to mains power so the UPS can be removed, serviced or replaced without shutting down your equipment. Eaton states UPSs can be hot-swapped or upgraded without interrupting the power supply.
Will Singapore plugs fit?
Not directly. The four main outlets are Schuko (CEE 7); BS 1363 (Type G) plugs need the IEC version MBP3KI or IEC leads on the C19 socket.
Is the load protected while in bypass?
No. In bypass the equipment runs directly from the mains, so schedule UPS work outside critical periods.
Can it be monitored over the network?
No. Eaton lists no SNMP, Ethernet or serial interface on this model.
