Online Double-Conversion Protection for Critical Desk-side Equipment
The Eaton 9SX700I is a 700 VA / 630 W online double-conversion tower UPS. Every watt your equipment draws is regenerated by the inverter, so connected servers, network cabinets, lab instruments and control equipment see a clean, regulated sine wave (max. 3% distortion on linear loads) regardless of sags, surges or frequency drift on the incoming supply.
For Singapore businesses running equipment that cannot tolerate even a line-interactive transfer, the 9SX tower models from 700 VA to 3 kVA give true online protection in a compact footprint.
0.9 Power Factor and High Efficiency
With a 0.9 output power factor, the 9SX700I delivers 630 W of real power from its 700 VA rating, more usable capacity than many UPSs of the same VA class. Eaton rates it at 87.4% efficiency at maximum load. Input power factor is above 0.99, and the input window is 190–276 V (120–276 V with derating), so routine voltage dips are absorbed without draining the battery.
Hot-Swappable Batteries and Expandable Runtime
The internal battery pack (2 x 12 V / 9 Ah, sealed lead-acid) can be replaced without shutting down the load. Eaton lists extended battery capability for longer runtimes, with ABM or temperature-compensated charging (user selectable), automatic battery testing and deep-discharge protection. An internal bypass keeps the load powered if the UPS itself needs attention.
Graphical LCD, Monitoring Ports and a Card Slot
A multilingual graphical LCD shows status and measurements at a glance. Eaton lists USB (HID compliant), serial RS232, mini-terminal block for remote power off, mini-terminal block for output relay, dry contacts (2 outputs, 1 input, optocoupler, DB9), plus one slot for an optional communication card for network monitoring. Eaton Intelligent Power Protector and Eaton Intelligent Power Manager handle orderly shutdown of servers and virtual machines.

What It Is Suited To
Servers, network cabinets, NAS, lab and control equipment that need a continuously regenerated sine-wave supply. The watt rating (630 W) is the limit: total the continuous watts of everything you connect and leave headroom.
Operating Systems and Software
The USB port is HID compliant, so common operating systems recognise the UPS as a power source. Eaton Intelligent Power Protector and Intelligent Power Manager handle orderly shutdown; the communication slot takes an optional Eaton network card for monitoring over the LAN.

6 x IEC C13 with an IEC C14 input. IEC outlets are not BS 1363 (Type G) sockets — equipment with Type G plugs needs IEC leads or an IEC-input power strip.

What does online double-conversion mean?
The UPS converts incoming AC to DC and back to AC continuously, so the load always runs from the inverter. There is no transfer gap when the mains fails and the output stays regulated to ±2%.
How do I size it — VA or watts?
Use watts. This model is rated 630 W (0.9 power factor). Total the continuous watts of your equipment and leave headroom for growth.
How long will it run on battery?
Eaton publishes a runtime graph for the 9SX700I. Runtime depends on load, battery age and temperature, and can be extended with external battery modules — send us your load in watts and we will estimate it.
