Online Double-Conversion Protection for Critical Rack Equipment
The Eaton 9SX3000IR is a 3000 VA / 2700 W online double-conversion 2U rack-mount UPS. Every watt your equipment draws is regenerated by the inverter, so connected servers, storage, network switches and firewalls in a 19-inch cabinet see a clean, regulated sine wave (max. 3% distortion on linear loads) regardless of sags, surges or frequency drift on the incoming supply.
For Singapore businesses running equipment that cannot tolerate even a line-interactive transfer, the 9SX 2U rack models from 1 kVA to 3 kVA give true online protection in a compact 19-inch footprint.
0.9 Power Factor and High Efficiency
With a 0.9 output power factor, the 9SX3000IR delivers 2700 W of real power from its 3000 VA rating, more usable capacity than many UPSs of the same VA class. Eaton rates it at 92% efficiency at maximum load. Input power factor is above 0.99, and the input window is 200–276 V (140–276 V with derating), so routine voltage dips are absorbed without draining the battery.
Hot-Swappable Batteries and Expandable Runtime
The internal battery pack (6 x 12 V / 9 Ah, sealed lead-acid) can be replaced without shutting down the load. External battery modules (EBMs) are also hot swappable. Eaton lists extended battery capability for longer runtimes, with ABM or temperature-compensated charging (user selectable). An internal bypass keeps the load powered if the UPS itself needs attention.
Graphical LCD, Monitoring Ports and a Card Slot
A multilingual graphical LCD shows status and measurements at a glance. Rack-mounted servers, storage, switches and firewalls that need a continuously regenerated sine-wave supply. The watt rating (2700 W) is the limit: total the continuous watts of everything you connect and leave headroom.
Operating Systems and Software
The USB port is HID compliant, so common operating systems recognise the UPS as a power source. Eaton Intelligent Power Protector and Intelligent Power Manager handle orderly shutdown; the communication slot takes an optional Eaton network card for monitoring over the LAN.

The UPS converts incoming AC to DC and back to AC continuously, so the load always runs from the inverter. There is no transfer gap when the mains fails and the output stays regulated to ±2%.
