Affordable Line-Interactive Protection from Eaton
The Eaton 5A 5A1200I-UNI is a 1200 VA / 650 W line-interactive tower UPS from Eaton's Advantage Series, built for everyday power problems in Singapore homes, shops and offices: short outages, voltage sags and surges on the incoming supply. It is sized for a PC workstation plus network gear, a POS counter or a small CCTV setup, giving you time to save work and shut down properly when the power goes.
AVR Handles Voltage Fluctuations Without Draining the Battery
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) corrects over- and under-voltage while staying on mains, across a wide 140–300 VAC input window. The battery is kept in reserve for real outages, and every outlet has surge protection. The 5A is also generator compatible and supports cold start, so it can be switched on from battery when mains power is not available.
4 Universal Outlets
This is the UNI version of the 5A, with 4 universal backup sockets on the unit. Eaton also makes DIN (Schuko) and NEMA versions of the 5A; SourceIT supplies the universal-socket model. If you are unsure whether your equipment's plugs will fit, send us a photo and we will confirm before you order.
Simple to Run
An on/off switch, indicator LED and a power-key mute for the alarm keep day-to-day use simple. The 5A has no USB or serial port, so it does not signal your PC to shut down automatically; if you need unattended shutdown, look at the Eaton 5E Gen2, 5SC or 5P ranges.

What It Is Suited To
Eaton positions the 5A for PC workstations, internet access points, point-of-sale equipment, business telephony and self-service kiosks. This 1200 VA model suits a PC workstation plus network gear, a POS counter or a small CCTV setup. Add up the continuous watts of everything you plan to connect and keep the total under 650 W.
Software
The 5A has no USB, serial or network communication, so there is no shutdown software for it. It protects connected equipment and gives you time to shut down manually.
Outlets

Watts is the real power your equipment draws and is the figure that limits the load. This model is rated 650 W, so keep the total continuous load of your equipment comfortably below that.
How long will it run on battery?
Eaton publishes 25 min at a 100 W IT load and 4.8 min at 50% load, and 3 min at 75% load. Runtime varies with equipment, battery age and temperature.
Can it shut my PC down automatically?
