Fail-Safe Power for the DMC-1000
The D-Link DMC-1001 is a hot-swappable redundant power supply designed for the DMC-1000 media converter chassis. It acts as a fail-safe against power failure for every converter installed in the chassis.
Load Sharing and Instant Takeover
According to D-Link's user guide, both power supplies are switched on and share the load; if one fails, the other instantaneously takes 100% of the load without any loss.
Hot-Swappable
A failed supply can be switched off and removed while the chassis continues functioning.
