10G Top-of-Rack with 40G Uplinks
The D-Link DXS-5000-54S is a 1U data centre switch with 48 x 10G SFP+ ports and 6 x 40G QSFP+ ports, delivering 1.44 Tbps switching capacity and a 1,071 Mpps forwarding rate for top-of-rack or leaf-spine deployments.
Open Networking
The switch comes with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE) pre-loaded, allowing a choice of network operating systems, with D-Link OS activated by a separate licence. An open API supports Puppet and Chef automation.
Data Centre Features
VXLAN, OpenFlow 1.3, MLAG, BGP4/BGP4+, OSPF with Graceful Restart, BFD and ECMP, plus DCB features — 802.1Qbb PFC, 802.1Qaz ETS, 802.1Qau congestion notification and DCBX — support converged and SDN environments.
Hot-Swappable Redundancy
1+1 redundant hot-swappable power supplies with load sharing and modular N+1 hot-swappable fans keep the rack running during maintenance.
