The Eaton DX-RT DXRT6KI-AP2 is a 6 kVA / 6 kW online double-conversion UPS for Singapore server rooms, network cabinets, laboratories, clinics and light industrial equipment. Double conversion rebuilds a clean sine wave output from the DC bus at all times, so connected loads are isolated from sags, surges, spikes and frequency drift on the incoming supply, with zero transfer time to battery.
The unit is convertible between tower and rack installation, so the same UPS can sit on the floor of a comms room today and move into a 19-inch rack later.
Unity Power Factor: 6 kVA Means 6 kW
With an output power factor of 1, the full 6 kVA rating is available as 6 kW of real power. Modern servers and storage with active power-factor-corrected supplies can use the whole rating, which is not the case with older 0.8 or 0.9 PF designs.
The wide 110–275 VAC input window and 40–70 Hz input frequency range let the UPS stay off battery through most utility disturbances and generator changeovers, preserving battery life for real outages.
95% Online Efficiency, 98% in ECO Mode
Eaton rates the DX-RT at 95% efficiency in double-conversion mode and 98% in ECO mode, keeping heat and running costs down in small rooms where air-conditioning capacity is limited. Input power factor is 0.995 or better with under 3% input current distortion, so it is friendly to generators and building wiring.
Built-in Maintenance Bypass, Parallel-Ready and Network Manageable
A built-in maintenance bypass switch lets the load stay powered from mains while the UPS is serviced. Up to 3 units can be paralleled for capacity or redundancy with the optional parallel kit. USB, RS232, EPO and dry contacts are standard, and a card slot accepts Eaton Network-M3 or Relay-MS cards for SNMP/web monitoring and automatic shutdown with Eaton IPM software.
Supplied Locally with GST Invoice and 3-Year Warranty

What It Is Suited To
The DXRT6KI-AP2 suits a full rack of servers and switches, storage arrays, telecom and CCTV head-ends, lab instruments and medical or industrial controls up to 6 kW. Keep the total continuous load under 6 kW with some headroom for start-up surges and future growth.
Monitoring and Shutdown
Use the USB or RS232 port for a single host, or fit an Eaton Network-M3 card in the card slot for SNMP, web and email alerts and orderly multi-server or virtualised (VMware, Hyper-V) shutdown through Eaton Intelligent Power Manager. Relay-MS provides dry-contact signalling to building management systems.

What is the difference between the Ki and KiXL models?
The DXRT6KI-AP2 is the standard model with internal batteries. The XL (long-backup) model is intended for external battery modules and has a higher charger current (up to 12 A) for extended runtime.
How long will it run on battery?
Eaton publishes 4 minutes at full load and 11 minutes at 50% load. Runtime depends on actual load, battery age and temperature; send us your load in kW and we will estimate it or propose an XL configuration.
Can it be rack-mounted?
Yes. The DX-RT is convertible between tower and rack; the rack rail kit is an optional accessory.
Does it support network monitoring?
Yes. Fit an Eaton Network-M3 card in the card slot for SNMP/web monitoring and automatic shutdown via Eaton IPM.
What warranty do I get?
3 years on the UPS and internal battery, supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore support and a GST invoice.
