HDMI or VGA In, HDBaseT Out
The VE2812AT is an HDBaseT Class A transmitter with both HDMI and VGA inputs and auto source switching, so a laptop with either connection can present on a display up to 100 m away over a single Cat cable.
Transmitter Only, Pairs with VE2812PR
This unit is the transmitter. It pairs with ATEN's VE2812PR receiver, sold separately, and ATEN also lists the VE1812R, VE814AR and VE811R receivers as compatible.
4K up to 100 m, 1080p to 150 m
HDMI 4K reaches 70 m over Cat 5e/6 or 100 m over Cat 6a / ATEN 2L-2910 Cat 6; VGA up to 1920 x 1200 covers the same distances. HDBaseT Long Reach mode takes 1080p up to 150 m.
Powered over HDBaseT, With Control
As a PoH powered device it can be powered by a PoH PSE receiver such as the VE2812PR, so no outlet is needed at the lectern or table. RS-232 and IR are carried for display and source control.

What It Pairs With
The VE2812PR HDBaseT receiver (bi-directional PoH, audio de-embedding) is its natural partner. ATEN also lists the VE1812R, VE814AR and VE811R receivers. A receiver is required and sold separately.
Typical Use
Lecterns, meeting tables and floor boxes with both HDMI and VGA laptop inputs feeding a projector or display at the far end of a room, hall or auditorium.
Selection Tip
Pair with the VE2812PR to power the transmitter from the receiver end over the Cat cable. Use Cat 6a or ATEN 2L-2910 cable for 4K at 100 m.
