PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
APC Replacement Battery Cartridge #119 (APCRBC119) - 2 Years Local Warranty
APCRBC119 Datasheet: a 12 V 70 Ah Monobloc for the Smart-UPS Battery Pack
The APCRBC119 is not a UPS battery tray. It is a single sealed lead-acid monobloc rated 12 V, 70 Ah, and its place in the APC range is inside the UXABP48 — the Smart-UPS external battery pack whose own official name is "48V, 3360VAh". Four of these blocks make that pack: 48 V divided by four gives 12 V per block, and 3360 VAh divided by 48 V gives 70 Ah. The arithmetic closes exactly, and it is the clearest way to understand what you are buying.
That distinction matters commercially. If you are looking for a cartridge that slides into the front of a Smart-UPS, this is not it. If you are re-celling a Smart-UPS XL external battery pack, this is the genuine APC part for the job.
27 kg per Block: Plan the Handling Before It Arrives
Weight matters more than buyers expect on this range. A sealed lead-acid tray is dense, and the figure below is Schneider's own published net weight, not an estimate. Schneider publishes 27.18 kg net for a single APCRBC119, in a case measuring 208 mm high by 165 mm wide by 259 mm deep. A full four-block pack refill is therefore something over 108 kg of battery before you count packaging.
For a Singapore delivery that means a goods lift and two people, not a courier and a trolley. Tell us the floor and the access route when you order and we will plan the delivery around it. It also means the old blocks have to come out and go somewhere, which is worth arranging in the same visit rather than leaving them standing in a plant room.
Built for 230 V Server Rooms and PUB Grid Events
Singapore's 230 V / 50 Hz supply is stable by regional standards, but the events that actually take equipment down — a lightning-season voltage dip, a switchboard changeover, a contractor on the wrong breaker — are short and unannounced. An external battery pack exists precisely so a UPS can ride through more of them, and it is only worth what its blocks are worth. A pack running on eight-year-old cells will report healthy right up to the moment it is asked to deliver.
Singapore is hard on lead-acid batteries. Ambient temperature sits near the top of the useful band all year, and every few degrees of sustained heat shortens a sealed lead-acid battery's service life measurably. A comms cabinet or riser room that runs warm will age a cartridge faster than an air-conditioned server room will. Plan replacement on the calendar instead of waiting for the UPS to fail its self-test, and keep the unit out of direct sun and clear of the warm-air discharge from whatever it is protecting.
Genuine APC Supply, GST-Invoiced, from Singapore Stock
SourceIT supplies the APCRBC119 as genuine APC by Schneider Electric stock, sold in Singapore with a GST invoice and local warranty support. We hold this part on the shelf instead of ordering it in, so a failed UPS does not have to wait on a shipment. If you are not certain which cartridge your unit takes, send us the model number printed on the UPS rear panel and we will confirm it against Schneider's documentation before you buy.
Schneider Electric does not publish a UL listing or a CE marking for this cartridge, and we do not claim either. What Schneider does publish is a REACh declaration and a RoHS position, and those are reproduced in the specification table exactly as written.

A note on the shipping weight. Schneider's data sheet gives a packaging block of 508 x 394 x 693 mm at 112.5 kg. That is 4.1 times the net weight of one block, so it describes a four-unit master carton, not a single-unit carton. We have left the single-unit shipping weight blank rather than repeat a figure that would overstate a one-off order more than fourfold. Ask us for the carton weight that applies to your order quantity.
Schneider publishes no charge time for a replacement cartridge. Recharge time is a property of the UPS that charges it, not of the battery tray, so look it up on your UPS model, not here.
Compatibility & Runtime
What the APCRBC119 fits
Schneider's compatibility widget for this part reports exactly one compatible product, and it is an external battery pack rather than a UPS. That pack is the UXABP48, officially named "APC Smart-UPS Battery Pack 48V, 3360VAh".
- UXABP48 — APC Smart-UPS Battery Pack, 48 V, 3360 VAh. Four APCRBC119 blocks per pack. This is the direct and confirmed host.
- SUA2200XL — named by Schneider FAQ FA156524 as a Smart-UPS that takes the UXABP48 pack. This is a 120 V unit.
- SUA2200UXI and SUA3000UXI — 230 V Smart-UPS XL units that take the same pack, according to the APC UXBP / UXABP battery-pack guide. We hold this from a single mirrored copy of that guide rather than two independent sources, so treat it as likely rather than confirmed and check your pack label.
The same block also carries the part number RBC13
Schneider publishes an identical physical record for RBC13 — the same 208 x 165 x 259 mm case, the same 27.18 kg net weight, the same 195 kg CO2 figure, and the same UXABP48 host. On the evidence available these are the same 12 V 70 Ah monobloc carried under two commercial references. We are telling you rather than quietly picking one, because if your paperwork says RBC13 and your quotation says APCRBC119, that is very probably not an error. Ask us to confirm against your pack before you order.
Runtime
Runtime is a property of the UPS and its load, not of a single battery block. A fresh set of blocks restores the pack to the runtime its host UPS was rated for at a given load; it cannot exceed it. If you need a specific runtime at a specific kW, send us the load and the UPS model and we will read it off the correct APC runtime chart rather than estimate.
The cartridge arrives assembled with its connectors already fitted. Schneider ships an installation guide in the box and that guide, not this page, is the authority on how the swap is done on your particular battery pack and whether it can be done with the unit running. Read it before you start, and keep the old cartridge intact for recycling.
Sealed lead-acid cartridges must not go into general waste in Singapore. Bring the exhausted cartridge back to us with the replacement and we can arrange collection through a licensed recycler, or dispose of it through your own NEA-licensed collector.

Related APC parts in the SourceIT catalogue
APCRBC119 (this listing) is the block for the 48 V Smart-UPS battery pack. If you have arrived here from a Smart-UPS rather than a battery pack, one of these is more likely to be what you need:
- RBC13 — the same 12 V 70 Ah block under Schneider's other part number
- RBC11 — 48 V, 17 Ah, 816 VAh; the block set for the SU48XLBP Smart-UPS XL pack
- RBC12 — 48 V; a two-cell tray for the larger 3U Smart-UPS rack units
- APCRBC140 — a current Smart-UPS On-Line cartridge
- RBC43 — 48 V, 10 Ah, a 2U Smart-UPS rack tray
Not sure which applies? Send the model number from your UPS or battery pack rear panel to sales@sourceit.com.sg and we will confirm it against Schneider's documentation.

Frequently Asked Questions — APCRBC119
Is the APCRBC119 a UPS battery cartridge?
No, and this is the most important thing to know before ordering. It is a single 12 V 70 Ah sealed lead-acid block used inside an APC external battery pack, the UXABP48. It does not slide into the front of a Smart-UPS. If you need a cartridge for the UPS itself, tell us the UPS model and we will point you at the right part.
What voltage and capacity is it, really?
12 V and 70 Ah, and unusually for this range that figure is trustworthy as printed. Many APC cartridges are multi-block trays whose published "12 V" is a per-block rating; this one genuinely is a single block. Four independent checks agree: Schneider's product pages, the 27.18 kg mass, the 259 mm case which is the standard 70 Ah footprint, and the host pack's own 48 V / 3360 VAh rating.
How many do I need to refill a UXABP48 pack?
Four. The pack is 48 V and each block is 12 V, and its 3360 VAh rating divided by 48 V gives the 70 Ah per block. Replace the whole set at once and from the same batch. Mixing a new block with three aged ones will drag the new one down to the condition of the old and wastes most of the money.
Why does the listing not give a shipping weight?
Because Schneider only publishes a 112.5 kg packaging figure, and that is a four-unit master carton rather than a single-unit box. Quoting it against one block would overstate the freight by more than four times. Ask us and we will give you the carton weight for the quantity you are actually ordering.
Can I fit it myself?
The cartridge ships assembled with its connectors fitted, and the installation guide in the box is the authority on the procedure for your particular battery pack. We do not publish a hot-swap claim for this part, because Schneider does not publish one for it. Read the guide first, and if the pack feeds a production load, plan the work into a window.
What about the old blocks?
Sealed lead-acid must not go into general waste in Singapore. Return the exhausted blocks to us with the replacements and we can arrange collection through a licensed recycler, or use your own NEA-licensed collector. At 27 kg each this is worth planning, not improvising.
Does it come with a local Singapore warranty?
Yes. Every APCRBC119 sold by SourceIT comes with local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice; APC backs the APCRBC119 with a 2-year manufacturer warranty.
