Multi-Gigabit Ports for Wi-Fi 6 Access Points
Alongside 20 Gigabit PoE+ ports, the GS980MX/28PSm has four 100M/1/2.5/5G Multi-Gigabit ports, so high-speed Wi-Fi 6 access points can run above 1Gbps over existing Cat5e/Cat6 cabling instead of being bottlenecked or needing re-cabling.
PoE+ on All 24 Copper Ports
All 24 copper ports source PoE, with a 370W budget that supports every port at 15.4W or 12 ports at the full 30W PoE+ level, for IP phones, access points and cameras.
10G Uplinks and VCStack
Four 1/10G SFP+ ports provide uplinks. Up to four GS980MX switches can be stacked into one managed unit using any port, including over fibre with VCStack LD.
AMF Plus and Vista Manager EX
As an AMF Plus edge node running AlliedWare Plus, the switch can be centrally managed with automatic backup and upgrade, and monitored in Vista Manager EX.
