Jabra Evolve2 75 vs Yealink BH76: Does an Expensive Headset Guarantee Better Meetings?
No, an expensive headset does not guarantee better meetings, and the Jabra Evolve2 75 and Yealink BH76 show why. Both are on-ear Bluetooth headsets with hybrid ANC and a retractable boom microphone; what decides how you sound is the boom position, the USB adapter and the room, not the price tag. One practical note first: SourceIT no longer stocks the BH76, although Yealink still lists it. If you are buying from us today, the current Yealink choices are the on-ear BH74 MS at S$186.30 and the over-ear BH78 MS at S$318.60, against S$480.00 for the Evolve2 75 MS (S$555.00 with charging stand), prices as listed on 24 Oct 2026.

What actually makes a meeting sound good?
Three things matter more than the badge on the headset:
- Microphone distance. Both headsets have a boom that sits near the mouth. Jabra notes the Evolve2 75 meets Microsoft's Teams Open Office requirements in its Performance Mode, which means with the boom fully down. Push it up and you trade some call quality for looks.
- The USB adapter. Connecting through the supplied Jabra Link or Yealink dongle, rather than the laptop's own Bluetooth, gives the headset a dedicated radio and the wideband audio path the vendor tested. Our guide Why Your Expensive Bluetooth Headset Sounds Terrible on Teams covers this in detail.
- The room and the network. A headset cannot fix a weak Wi-Fi signal or a reverberant glass room. See Why Everyone Hates Your Office Video Calls (And How to Fix Them).
A S$480 headset with the boom pushed up on laptop Bluetooth will sound worse than a S$186 headset used properly.
ANC: is Jabra's Advanced ANC worth the premium?
Jabra's Advanced ANC on the Evolve2 75 uses four of its eight microphones for hybrid noise cancellation. The BH76 also uses hybrid ANC, with a High mode for loud environments and an Ambient Sound mode for hearing colleagues. Neither vendor publishes a dB figure for these models, so a fair comparison has to be done by ear. On battery, the BH76 is rated higher with ANC off (35 hours against 25), while the Evolve2 75 publishes its ANC-on figure of 18 hours. For a typical office day, both last.
Wearing comfort
Both are on-ear designs aimed at all-day office wear. Jabra lists the Evolve2 75 at 197 g; Yealink does not publish a BH76 weight. Jabra says the Evolve2 75's boom is about a third shorter than the original Evolve 75, so it is less intrusive on camera. If weight matters, the current Yealink BH74 is 152 g.
Is the Evolve2 75 still the right Jabra to buy?
Possibly not. Its successor, the Jabra Evolve3 75 MS, is currently S$360.00 at SourceIT, S$120.00 less than the Evolve2 75. The Evolve3 75 drops the boom for a six-microphone ClearVoice array, adds Qi wireless charging and a user-exchangeable battery, and is lighter at 180 g; on the other hand, Jabra rates its talk time at up to 22 hours against 25 for the Evolve2 75. Choose the Evolve2 75 if your users want a physical boom; otherwise the Evolve3 75 is the better buy at today's price. The detail is in Jabra Evolve3 vs Evolve2: what's actually changed, and the Evolve3 75 against the BH74 in Jabra Evolve3 75 vs Yealink BH74.
Which should you buy for better meetings?
If you want a boom microphone and Jabra's mature ANC, buy the Jabra Evolve2 75 MS or the version with charging stand, and train users to keep the boom down on calls. If you were considering the BH76 for value, the Yealink BH74 MS is the current on-ear ANC alternative at well under half the Evolve2 75's price, and the Yealink BH78 MS is the step up for heavier meeting loads. The whole Yealink line-up by user type is in Yealink BH70 vs BH74 vs BH78.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Yealink BH76 discontinued? Yealink still lists the BH76 on its website, but SourceIT no longer stocks it. The current Yealink alternatives at SourceIT are the BH74 (on-ear, hybrid ANC) and the BH78 (over-ear, adaptive hybrid ANC).
Does the Jabra Evolve2 75 have a boom microphone? Yes. It has a retractable boom and eight microphones; Jabra says it meets Teams Open Office requirements in Performance Mode, with the boom down.
Which has longer battery life, the Evolve2 75 or the BH76? Yealink rates the BH76 at up to 35 hours of talk time with ANC off. Jabra rates the Evolve2 75 at up to 25 hours with ANC off and 18 hours with ANC on.
Is the Jabra Evolve3 75 cheaper than the Evolve2 75? At SourceIT on 24 Oct 2026, yes: S$360.00 for the Evolve3 75 MS against S$480.00 for the Evolve2 75 MS.
Does a more expensive headset make meetings better? Only partly. Boom position, using the supplied USB adapter instead of laptop Bluetooth, and the room's acoustics and network often matter more than price.
