Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex vs Yealink BH74: Is the Foldable Design Worth Paying Extra For?
The foldable design is worth paying for if the headset genuinely travels with you every week; if it mostly stays on the desk, the Yealink BH74 MS gives more battery for less money. At SourceIT the Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex is S$295.00 in its MS USB-A, MS USB-C and UC USB-C versions (S$475.00 with wireless charging pad), and the BH74 MS is S$186.30 (S$197.10 with charging stand), prices as listed on 24 Oct 2026. The S$108.70 gap buys a headset that folds flat, weighs 136 g and charges wirelessly.

How much does folding flat matter?
For a consultant who carries a laptop bag between client sites, a Changi lounge and home, quite a lot. The Evolve2 65 Flex folds flat, so it slips into a laptop sleeve rather than taking a bag compartment of its own. At 136 g it is also the lighter of the two. The BH74 ships with a zipper bag and travels well enough, but Yealink does not describe it as a fold-flat design. If the headset never leaves the office, folding is a feature you pay for and never use.
Which is more comfortable over a long day?
Both are on-ear, so both are lighter and cooler than over-ear models. The 16 g difference is small. For travellers who wear the headset in short bursts between meetings and transport, both are easy to live with; for eight hours at a desk, users split by personal preference, so trial a unit of each before you buy in volume.
Microphone quality: whose voice comes through clearer?
Both use a boom. The Flex's is short, and Jabra pairs six microphones with ClearVoice processing to pick out your voice. The BH74 uses a longer boom and Yealink's multi-mic noise cancellation, and Yealink states that it is certified for Microsoft Teams Premium Open Office, the stricter test for noisy shared spaces. On a train platform or in a café, the longer boom has the physical advantage; in a hotel room or quiet home office, both are clear. If your concern is how you sound on Teams specifically, our guide to why Bluetooth headsets sound bad on Teams explains why using the supplied USB adapter, not the laptop's own Bluetooth, matters more than either brand.
Foldability is a travel feature. Battery life is an everyday feature. Pay for the one your users will actually use.
Battery life on the road
Here the BH74 is clearly ahead: up to 32 hours of talk time against 20 hours (16 with ANC on) for the Flex, and up to 65 hours of music against 32. A five-minute charge gives the BH74 about 45 minutes of listening, per Yealink. The Flex counters with Qi wireless charging, which is convenient if your desk or bedside already has a pad. For a week of travel without a charger, the BH74 is the safer pick.
Is the newer Evolve3 65 Flex worth considering?
Jabra launched the Evolve3 65 Flex in 2026 as the successor. It is boomless (six microphones with deep-neural-network ClearVoice), weighs 143 g, folds, charges wirelessly and has a user-exchangeable battery, with Jabra rating talk time at up to 16.5 hours and music at up to 80 hours. It is S$376.68 at SourceIT, or S$439.92 with a wireless charging pad. The Evolve2 65 Flex at S$295.00 is now the better-value Jabra traveller while stock lasts. Which should a travelling professional buy?
Choose the Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex MS USB-C if you travel weekly, carry a slim bag and want wireless charging. Choose the Yealink BH74 MS if you want the longer battery, the open-office microphone certification and the lower price, and you do not mind a slightly bulkier pack.
