NVIDIA DGX Spark vs ASUS GX10: Same Brain, Different Price?

Yes, the ASUS Ascent GX10 is worth it for most Singapore buyers, but not for the reason a spec sheet suggests. It has exactly the same NVIDIA GB10 chip, 128 GB of memory and speed as the NVIDIA DGX Spark, so you are not paying for performance either way. What you are choosing between is storage size, chassis, warranty channel and price, and depending on the tier, the GX10 is either S$1,400 cheaper or S$1,250 dearer than the Spark. This opinion piece explains where that gap goes and who should pay it. For the full side-by-side specification table, read our detailed DGX Spark vs ASUS Ascent GX10 comparison; for the wider ASUS range, see the ASUS Agent Computer guide.

The price gap, tier by tier

Storage ASUS Ascent GX10 NVIDIA DGX Spark Gap
1 TB S$7,200 Not stocked (4 TB only) GX10 S$1,400 below the only Spark on sale
2 TB S$8,050 Not offered GX10 S$550 below the Spark 4 TB
4 TB S$9,850 S$8,600 Spark S$1,250 cheaper
Two-unit cluster 2x 1 TB: S$14,400 2x 4 TB: S$17,200 GX10 pair S$2,800 cheaper

The pattern is simple. If 1 TB or 2 TB is enough, the GX10 is the cheaper route into the GB10 class. If you want 4 TB, the DGX Spark is the cheaper box.

Same brain: what the money does not buy

NVIDIA designed the GB10 platform and ASUS builds the GX10 as one of its official implementations, so both carry the same Grace Blackwell Superchip, 128 GB of unified LPDDR5X at 273 GB/s, 1 petaFLOP of FP4, ConnectX-7 for clustering and NVIDIA DGX OS. A 70B model generates tokens at the same rate on either, both top out around 200 billion parameters in a single unit, and the same containers, CUDA libraries and NVIDIA Sync clustering tools apply to both. Independent testing has shown the ASUS unit tracking the NVIDIA Founders Edition closely. Spending more on one or the other will not buy a faster answer, which is the point people miss when they ask whether the GX10 is a "cheaper copy".

What the gap does buy

Storage you actually need. ASUS is the only one of the two selling 1 TB and 2 TB tiers here. A developer who keeps one or two 70B checkpoints does not need 4 TB, and the 1 TB GX10 avoids paying for NVMe that sits empty. This is where most of the GX10's value comes from.

A different chassis. The GX10 uses a dual-fan cooler with five heat pipes and weighs 1.48 kg against the Spark's 1.2 kg all-metal shell. It adds DisplayPort 2.1 alt-mode over USB-C, a Kensington slot and magnetic footpads that line up two or four units for clustering. None of this changes performance; on a shelf of several units it is convenient.

A local warranty channel. The GX10 carries the official ASUS Singapore warranty, the same channel as ASUS NUCs, ExpertCenter desktops and monitors many fleets already use. DGX Spark support runs through NVIDIA's channel. Confirm the term for your SKU when requesting a quote; our ASUS commercial warranty guide covers the ASUS side in more detail.

Programme pricing and validated agents. Education and NVIDIA Inception pricing may apply on the GX10 under the ASUS programme, and ASUS validates NemoClaw, OpenClaw and Hermes Agent on it; the OpenClaw and NemoClaw setup guide walks through them.

When the GX10 is not worth it

Three cases point elsewhere. If you need 4 TB, the NVIDIA DGX Spark 4 TB at S$8,600 is S$1,250 cheaper than the GX10 4 TB for identical compute. If price per terabyte is all that matters, the MSI EdgeXpert 4 TB at S$6,895 undercuts both. And if a tender names the NVIDIA reference design, or your security team wants HP Sure Start and an air-gapped variant, the Spark or the HP ZGX Nano fits the paperwork better; our GX10 vs HP ZGX Nano vs Dell Pro Max comparison covers those trade-offs, and the GB10 buyer's guide lists every vendor.

The verdict by buyer

Solo developer or researcher: GX10 1 TB. It is the cheapest ASUS route into GB10 and the S$1,400 saving against the Spark is real money. Lab or team buying several units: GX10, because the saving compounds and two 1 TB units link into a 256 GB cluster for S$14,400 (see the GX10 clustering guide). Anyone who needs 4 TB in one box: DGX Spark. Fleet already on ASUS: GX10, for one warranty channel.

Before either, check that a GB10 machine is the right class at all: Everyone Wants an AI Supercomputer. Frequently asked questions

Is the ASUS GX10 the same as the DGX Spark? Inside, yes: the same NVIDIA GB10 chip, 128 GB of unified memory, ConnectX-7 and DGX OS. The chassis, storage tiers, warranty channel and price differ.

Is the ASUS GX10 worth it over the DGX Spark? At 1 TB or 2 TB, yes: it costs S$7,200 or S$8,050 against S$8,600 for the Spark 4 TB. At 4 TB the Spark is S$1,250 cheaper.

Is the GX10 slower than the DGX Spark? No. Both run the same chip at the same memory bandwidth, so model speed is the same within testing noise.

Why is the ASUS GX10 4 TB dearer than the DGX Spark? Store pricing differs by vendor and channel. Compute is identical, so if 4 TB is the requirement the Spark is the better-value box.

What warranty does the ASUS GX10 have in Singapore? It carries the official ASUS Singapore warranty. Confirm the term for your SKU when requesting a quote.
