The Best Headsets for Noisy Singapore Offices: Jabra, Yealink, Poly or EPOS?
For a noisy Singapore open-plan office, pick a headset with a boom microphone, hybrid ANC and an open-office microphone rating. What makes an office "noisy" for a headset?
Two different problems get called noise. The first is what you hear: air-conditioning hum, a printer, colleagues talking. That is solved by active noise cancellation in the earcups. The second is what your callers hear: the same colleagues, picked up by your microphone. That is solved by the microphone, its distance from your mouth and the processing behind it. Most complaints about "noisy headsets" are the second kind, and ANC does nothing for it. The difference is explained in Why Your S$400 Headset Still Picks Up Background Noise.
Why open-office certification matters
Microsoft tests all certified headsets for clear audio, but it says open offices "pose a greater challenge", and headsets with its open-office designation "pick up the voice of the headset user but don't transmit the sound of their neighbors". For a floor of desks a metre apart, that is the rating to look for. Every headset in the table carries a vendor-stated open-office rating; check the specific part number you order, because ratings can differ between MS and UC variants.
In an open office, buy for your callers' ears first and your own second.
Yealink BH74: best value
The Yealink BH74 MS combines a boom microphone, hybrid ANC and up to 32 hours of talk time in a 152 g on-ear headset, and Yealink states Teams Premium Open Office certification. At S$186.30 it is the easiest to deploy at scale; the version with stand is S$197.10.
Jabra Evolve3 65: lightest for all-day wear
The Jabra Evolve3 65 MS Stereo weighs 131 g, has a boom that rotates 270° and flips up to mute, and adds adaptive ANC to the Evolve2 65 formula. Jabra lists Premium Microphone for Open Office certification. Unlike the boomless Evolve3 75 and 85, it keeps the boom, which is the right call for noisy floors.
HP Poly Focus 625: longest talk time with ANC on
The HP Poly Focus 625 uses a hideaway boom with Acoustic Fence 2.0, which rejects sound from outside a zone around your mouth, and HP rates it at up to 25 hours of talk time with ANC and the online indicator on. It is the heaviest here at 208 g. The full assessment is in our HP Poly Focus 625 review.
EPOS IMPACT 1060T ANC: AI voice pickup
The EPOS IMPACT 1060T ANC pairs a boom microphone with EPOS's AI-powered voice pickup and BrainAdapt audio processing, which EPOS designs to reduce listening fatigue, plus hybrid adaptive ANC. EPOS states it meets Microsoft Teams Open Office requirements. The 1061T ANC with charging stand is S$420.00. EPOS's enterprise headset business has been owned by ACCO Brands, the owner of Kensington, since January 2026.
What about boomless headsets in a noisy office?
Boomless designs such as the Jabra Evolve3 75 and Logitech's Zone Wireless 2 (S$284.00), which Logitech says is certified as a Premium Microphone for Open Office, can work well. For the loudest seats, a boom still gives more margin. See Boom Mic vs Boomless Headsets.
Comfort over a long day
All four are on-ear, which stays cooler than over-ear designs in an air-conditioned office through long days. Weight runs from 131 g (Evolve3 65) to 208 g (Focus 625). For a fleet, trial two models with a handful of users before you standardise. For comfort over long meeting days, read On-Ear vs Over-Ear Headsets.
