The VIGI SP18090 is TP-Link's largest VIGI solar power kit: two 90 W photovoltaic panels (180 W total) on a VIGI 180W Solar Mount, feeding a VIGI PS90 system controller with modular lithium battery capacity of up to 93.6 Ah at 10.95 V. Three DC outputs, an RJ45 port and remote management let it run 4G cameras, wireless bridges and other low-voltage devices where there is no mains power.

Each panel is rated 90 W at 18 V and measures 998 x 516 x 30 mm. The PS90 controller accepts modular lithium batteries of 31.2 Ah each, up to a published maximum of 93.6 Ah, with a maximum output voltage of 12.6 V. TP-Link rates the battery at more than 500 charge cycles, which it equates to roughly a 10-year lifespan based on a 30 Ah capacity powering a VIGI C540-4G.

Three DC Outputs With Independent Protection

The PS90 provides three 5.5 mm DC power plugs — #1 and #2 at 9-12.6 V DC / 2 A and #3 at 12 V DC / 2 A — with three-way load control, plus a 10/100 Mbps RJ45 port for local LAN management. An independent protection circuit adds high and low temperature protection and over-discharge protection, and six blue indicators (SYS, LAN, PV and three battery LEDs) show status at the pole.

MPPT Charging and Intelligent Auxiliary Heating

A Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) charging controller extracts more usable power from the panels than a basic controller. Intelligent auxiliary heating extends battery charging from 0-45 degrees C to -30 to 45 degrees C, and discharging from -20-60 degrees C to -30 to 60 degrees C, with smart charging control operating between -30 and 5 degrees C.

Built for Exposed Poles: IP66, IP67 Panels, 160 km/h Wind

The system is IP66 weatherproof with IP67-rated solar panels, and the 180W mount is rated for wind up to 160 km/h (99.4 mph). The mount sets the panels at 5, 15, 25, 35, 45 or 55 degrees to suit latitude and orientation, and the controller and mount fit poles from 80 to 160 mm in diameter.

Remote Management

Power consumption statistics, real-time load status and battery level are visible remotely, along with remote message push, remote reboot, remote reset, firmware remote update, schedule saving, time zone and region selection, and account management — reducing site visits to remote poles.
