The Deco BE68 is TP-Link's BE14000 tri-band Wi-Fi 7 mesh unit: 8647 Mbps on 6 GHz, 4324 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz across eight streams, with a 10 Gbps port, a 2.5 Gbps port and a 1 Gbps port on every unit. This 3-pack supplies 3 identical units that pair into one mesh network with a single network name, managed from the Deco app.

Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 with 320 MHz Channels and MLO

Each unit runs 6 GHz, 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz radios with 4x4 MU-MIMO, OFDMA and eight internal high-gain antennas. Multi-Link Operation lets a Wi-Fi 7 client send and receive across bands at the same time, and 320 MHz channels on the 6 GHz band double channel width compared with 160 MHz. TP-Link notes the 320 MHz width is available only on 6 GHz, may be restricted in some countries, and that MLO, 320 MHz, 4K-QAM and Multi-RUs all need Wi-Fi 7 clients.

10 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps and 1 Gbps on Every Unit

Every Deco BE68 carries one 10 Gbps, one 2.5 Gbps and one 1 Gbps Ethernet port, all WAN/LAN auto-sensing — any one of them can take the internet connection, with only one acting as WAN at a time. That suits a multi-gig fibre plan, a 10G NAS or switch, or wired backhaul between units. TP-Link states 10 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps internet speeds require compatible service plans and equipment. A USB 3.0 port on each unit serves FTP, media and Samba shares.

AI-Driven Mesh and Seamless Roaming

Units link through TP-Link Mesh Technology with optional Ethernet backhaul and AI-Driven Mesh. TP-Link quotes switching between units in under 0.3 second for clients that support 802.11k/v/r, and laboratory testing of more than 200 connected devices across the three bands; real-world throughput, coverage and device counts vary with the building and the clients.

HomeShield, VPN and Network Controls

HomeShield adds real-time IoT protection, malicious site blocking, intrusion prevention, DDoS prevention and a home network scanner, plus parental controls with YouTube restriction, SafeSearch and time limits (Basic plan free; Pro plan chargeable by TP-Link). OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP/IPSec and WireGuard are available as both server and client, and guest networks are available on all three bands. Software extras include IoT and device isolation, static routing, node and band connection preference, and Tapo/Kasa onboarding.
