PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link VIGI 8 Channel PoE+ Network Video Recorder (VIGI NVR1008H-8P) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The VIGI NVR1008H-8P puts an eight-port PoE+ switch and an eight-channel recorder in one 294 mm chassis. Every camera runs on a single cable, the built-in analytics classify people and vehicles on the recorder itself, and one SATA bay takes a drive up to 16 TB — twice the capacity ceiling of the smaller four-channel models.
Eight PoE+ Ports With a 53 W Budget
Ports 1 to 8 are RJ-45 10/100 Mbps self-adaptive interfaces compliant with 802.3at/af, with 53 W available across all PoE+ ports and a 30 W ceiling on any single port. That total is the figure to plan against: eight modest fixed-lens cameras fit inside it, but a mix that includes illuminated or pan-tilt units needs adding up first. TP-Link notes the budget comes from laboratory testing and will vary in the field.
8MP Recording and a 16 TB Drive Bay
Incoming bandwidth is 80 Mbps and outgoing is 60 Mbps. Recording covers 8MP through to QCIF in H.265+, H.265, H.264+ or H.264. The single SATA bay accepts a drive up to 16 TB, which with H.265+ encoding is what makes long retention practical on an eight-camera site without a separate storage server.
Full Smart-Detection Event Set
General alarms cover motion detection, video tampering, scene change, line crossing, intrusion, region entering and exiting, loitering, object abandoned and removal, vehicle detection, human detection, abnormal sound detection and smart frame. Anomaly alarms cover video loss, offline and IP conflict, disk exception and login exception. Linkages include recording, white-light alarm, buzzer, log and audible alarm. Loitering and abnormal sound detection are the additions over the non-PoE NVR1008H.
4K Output With Eight-Channel Playback
HDMI runs to 3840x2160 at 30 Hz and VGA to 1920x1080 at 60 Hz, simultaneously. Multi-view display covers 1, 4, 6 and 8 channels, and synchronous playback covers all eight. Decoding is published as 2-ch at 8MP, 4-ch at 4MP or 8-ch at 2MP at 25 fps, and 4-ch at 3MP or 2-ch at 5MP at 30 fps.
Rack or Desk Mount, ONVIF Profile S
The unit ships with mounting brackets and rubber feet, so it can sit on a shelf or go into a rack. Management runs from the local GUI, a browser (Chrome 57+, Firefox 52+, Edge 91+), the VIGI app on Android and iOS, or VIGI Security Manager. Interoperability is ONVIF Profile S and CGI for third-party cameras.
Ideal For
Singapore warehouses, workshops, car parks, schools and multi-room offices running six to eight cameras, and installers who want switching, power, recording and analytics in a single box. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Frequently Asked Questions — VIGI NVR1008H-8P
Will 53 W run eight cameras?
For eight standard fixed-lens VIGI bullet or turret cameras, yes. Illuminated, pan-tilt or heated models draw considerably more, so add up the per-camera figures before committing. The per-port ceiling is 30 W.
How does this differ from the NVR1008H-8MP?
Both are eight-channel recorders with eight PoE+ ports and the same chassis size. The -8MP publishes a larger 113 W PoE budget and a fuller protocol stack including HTTPS, SSL/TLS, IPv6 and SNMP. Choose the -8MP if your camera mix is power-hungry or you need encrypted remote access.
Does it come with a hard disk?
No. One SATA drive up to 16 TB is required. We can supply a surveillance-rated drive with the unit.
Can it be rack mounted?
Mounting brackets and rubber feet are both in the box, so it can go in a rack or sit on a shelf.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty, with a GST invoice on every order.
