PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link VIGI 4MP Outdoor ColorPro Night Vision Pan Tilt Network Camera (VIGI C540S) - 3 Years Local Warranty
The VIGI C540S is the ColorPro model in the C540 family: a 1/1.79 inch sensor behind an F1.0 lens, rated down to 0.0005 lux, so night footage stays in colour without any infrared at all. It records 2688x1520, publishes 120 dB true wide dynamic range, and adds deep-learning people and vehicle analytics for faster post-event search.
ColorPro Night Vision Without Infrared
This model has no IR LED and no IR cut filter. Instead it combines a large 1/1.79 inch progressive scan CMOS sensor with a 4 mm F1.0 lens and two white LEDs reaching 30 m, giving a published minimum illumination of 0.0005 lux, or 0 lux with the white light on. TP-Link's own comparison caveat notes this figure is set against a traditional F2.0 aperture with a 1/3 inch sensor. The practical difference is colour evidence at night rather than monochrome, which is what clothing, vehicle and signage identification depends on.
2688x1520 Recording With a Third Stream
Maximum resolution is 2688x1520, higher than the rest of the C540 family, with the main stream also offering 2560x1440, 2304x1296, 2048x1280, 1920x1080 and 1280x720 at up to 25 fps on 50 Hz or 30 fps on 60 Hz. A third stream runs 1280x720 at 15 fps alongside the main and sub-streams. Main-stream encoding is H.265+, H.265, H.264+ or H.264 at 256 Kbps to 6 Mbps; the sub-stream runs 64 to 512 Kbps. Wide dynamic range is a true 120 dB, though TP-Link notes that face recognition supports DWDR only.
Deep-Learning Analytics and Smart Events
Smart events cover human and vehicle classification, intrusion, line crossing, people detection, vehicle detection, region entering and exiting, abandoned object, object removal, loitering detection, scene change detection and smart frame. Basic events cover motion detection, video tampering and illegal-login exception. TP-Link also publishes a deep-learning people and vehicle analytics function that lets you search and filter recorded footage by attribute, which is what turns a long recording into a short review.
350 Degree Sweep With 300 Presets
The motorised head pans 0 to 348 degrees and tilts 0 to 105 degrees, at a configurable 8 to 44 degrees per second on both axes. Up to 300 presets are stored, with eight patrol routes of up to eight presets each, park actions, 3D positioning and power-off memory that restores the previous position after an outage. The fixed 4 mm F1.0 lens gives a 104 degree horizontal, 55 degree vertical and 127 degree diagonal field of view, with DORI distances published as detect 63 m, observe 26 m, recognise 13 m and identify 6 m.
802.3at PoE in an IP66 Housing
One RJ-45 10/100 Mbps self-adaptive port carries 802.3at class 4 PoE at up to 16.47 W, or the camera can run from 12 V DC through a 5.5 mm coaxial plug at up to 13.13 W. The built-in slot takes a microSD card up to 256 GB, and the built-in microphone and speaker give two-way audio within a 5 m radius. The housing is plastic, measures 120 x 172 x 203 mm, is rated IP66 and is specified for -30 to 60 degrees C.
Ideal For
Singapore car park entries, estate gates, forecourts and loading bays where night-time colour identification matters more than raw reach, and sites standardising on 802.3at PoE. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Published Notes
TP-Link publishes no net or gross weight for this model, so none is quoted here; ask us if the figure matters for your mount and we will request it from the distributor.
TP-Link publishes these caveats for this model: the low-light figure is compared against a traditional F2.0 aperture with a 1/3 inch sensor; H.265+ storage savings are calculated from laboratory testing using VIGI cameras, with actual performance varying by the amount of activity recorded, the resolution and other variables; and a microSD card is not included in the package.

Frequently Asked Questions — VIGI C540S
What makes ColorPro different from the other C540 models?
A much larger 1/1.79 inch sensor and an F1.0 lens, rated to 0.0005 lux, against the 1/3 inch F1.6 optics on the C540, C540-W and C540-4G. It is built to hold full colour at night rather than to fall back on infrared.
Does it have infrared night vision?
No. TP-Link publishes no IR LED and no IR cut filter for this model. Night vision is by two white LEDs reaching 30 m, plus the low-light sensor. If you need discreet, invisible illumination, the C540 or C540-W with IR LEDs is the better fit.
What PoE does it need?
802.3at class 4, drawing up to 16.47 W, which is the highest in the C540 family. An 802.3af-only port is not specified for it. It can also run from a 12 V DC adapter at up to 13.13 W, which is not included in the box.
What resolution does it record?
Up to 2688x1520, higher than the 2560x1440 of the other C540 models, with a third stream at 1280x720 and 15 fps available alongside the main and sub-streams.
Can this camera be used outdoors?
Yes. TP-Link publishes an IP66 weatherproof rating and an operating range of -30 to 60 degrees C, so it is suited to Singapore's rain and heat in an exposed position.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Three years local Singapore warranty, with a GST invoice on every order.
