PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link VIGI 4 Channel PoE+ Network Video Recorder (VIGI NVR1004H-4P) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The VIGI NVR1004H-4P is a four-channel recorder with four PoE+ ports built in, so each camera needs one cable for both data and power. It accepts inputs up to 8MP, records in H.265+, takes a single SATA drive up to 10 TB, and runs the VIGI smart-detection event set on its own hardware without any licence or subscription.
Four PoE+ Ports With a 53 W Budget
Ports 1 to 4 are RJ-45 10/100 Mbps self-adaptive interfaces compliant with 802.3at/af. TP-Link publishes 53 W available across all PoE+ ports with a maximum of 30 W on any single port, which comfortably carries four standard VIGI bullet or turret cameras and leaves room for one higher-draw unit. A separate RJ-45 10/100 Mbps port connects the recorder to your LAN.
8MP Input, H.265+ Recording, 80 Mbps In
Incoming bandwidth is 80 Mbps and outgoing is 60 Mbps. Recording resolutions run from 8MP down through 5MP, 4MP, 3MP, 1080p, UXGA, 720p, VGA and the CIF family, encoded in H.265+, H.265, H.264+ or H.264. H.265+ is what makes a single 10 TB drive go a long way: it cuts the bitrate substantially against H.264 for the same picture, so a four-camera site can hold weeks rather than days.
Smart Detection Handled on the Recorder
The alarm set covers motion detection, video tampering, scene change, line crossing, intrusion, region entering and exiting, loitering, object abandoned and removal, vehicle detection, human detection, abnormal sound detection and smart frame. Anomaly alarms cover video loss, offline and IP conflict, disk exception and login exception. Any of these can trigger recording, a white-light alarm, the buzzer, a log entry or an audible alarm — useful because human and vehicle classification cuts down the false alerts that motion-only systems generate outdoors.
4K Output and Four-Channel Playback
HDMI outputs up to 3840x2160 at 30 Hz, with VGA up to 1920x1080 at 60 Hz, and the two run simultaneously so a wall display and a local monitor can both be driven. Multi-view display is 1 or 4 channels. Synchronous playback covers all four channels, with a decoding capability TP-Link publishes as 2-ch at 8MP or 4-ch at 4MP. Playback controls include instant, regular, tag and event playback, frame stepping, digital zoom, clip export and recording lock.
ONVIF, VIGI App and VIGI Security Manager
Management runs from the local GUI, a web browser (Chrome 57+, Firefox 52+, Edge 91+), the VIGI app on Android and iOS, or the VIGI Security Manager desktop application. Interoperability is via ONVIF and CGI, so third-party cameras can be added — though TP-Link notes plainly that some features may operate sub-optimally and recommends VIGI cameras for best performance.
Ideal For
Singapore shophouses, clinics, small retail units, warehouses and offices running four cameras, and installers who want PoE switching, recording and analytics in one box with no per-camera licence. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Published Footnotes
TP-Link publishes the following caveats for this model: bandwidth and storage calculations are based on laboratory testing using VIGI cameras; PoE budget calculations are based on laboratory testing and the actual budget will vary with client limitations and environmental factors; fewer or no channels may be available for playback if the total resolution is 16MP; and some features may operate sub-optimally with non-VIGI cameras.
This model's page publishes two HDMI and VGA output tables that differ by one line, one of which additionally lists 1024x768/60Hz. Both are reproduced as published rather than reconciled; the shorter list is quoted above and the 1024x768 mode appears only in the second table.

Frequently Asked Questions — VIGI NVR1004H-4P
Does it come with a hard disk?
No. The recorder takes one SATA drive up to 10 TB, and a drive must be fitted before it will record. We can supply a surveillance-rated drive with the unit.
Will the four PoE ports power four cameras?
TP-Link publishes a 53 W total budget with 30 W maximum per port. Four standard VIGI bullet or turret cameras fit comfortably inside that; check the draw of any pan-tilt or illuminated model before committing.
Can I use cameras from another brand?
Yes, over ONVIF or CGI. TP-Link states plainly that some features may operate sub-optimally with non-VIGI cameras, so mixed sites should be tested before handover.
Is there a licence or subscription?
No. There is no per-channel or per-camera licence fee for the recorder, the VIGI app or VIGI Security Manager.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty, with a GST invoice on every order.
