TP-Link TC80 Smart Wire-Free Outdoor Security Camera 1080p Battery IP65
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link Smart Wire-Free Outdoor Security Camera (TC80) - 2 Years Local Warranty
The TC80 is a battery-powered outdoor camera with no cables to run. A built-in 5,200 mAh battery is rated for up to 180 days per charge, it snaps onto its magnetic bracket in minutes, and it joins your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi directly, with no hub required. Free person detection, colour night vision and an IP65 housing make it a simple way to cover a gate, porch, garden or driveway.
Wire-Free, Up to 180 Days Per Charge
The rechargeable lithium-ion battery charges over USB Type-C and, by TP-Link's lab measure of about 250 seconds of activity a day, lasts up to 180 days between charges. An optional solar panel, sold separately, can keep it topped up. Because nothing needs to be wired, it can go where there is no power point: a side gate, a back fence or a car porch.
Person Detection With No Subscription
On-camera AI separates people from general motion and pushes a real-time alert to the Tapo app, without a paid plan. A dedicated motion sensor with a 110° horizontal field of view wakes the camera, custom activity zones limit alerts to the areas you care about, and privacy zones mask areas you do not want recorded.
1080p Video With Colour Night Vision
Video is recorded at 1080p (1920 x 1080) through a 3.16 mm F1.6 lens with a 116.7° diagonal field of view. Two 850 nm IR LEDs see up to 10 m in the dark, and two motion-activated white lights switch the picture to full colour when someone approaches, doubling as a light deterrent alongside the 70 dBA siren.
Local or Cloud Recording, Built for the Weather
Record to a microSD card of up to 512 GB (sold separately) or add Tapo Care cloud storage if you want off-site copies. The IP65 housing is rated for outdoor use, two-way audio with noise cancellation lets you speak to visitors, and the camera also pairs with the Tapo H200 or H500 hub if you are building a larger Tapo system.
Ideal For
Singapore landed homes, townhouses, shophouse back lanes, gates and car porches where running power or network cable is impractical, and anyone who wants person alerts without a monthly subscription. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and volume pricing on request.

*Battery life is TP-Link's laboratory figure at about 250 seconds of use per day including recording and live viewing; real-world life varies with settings, usage, router and environment. The 5,200 mAh capacity is stated in TP-Link's product overview rather than its specification table. No net weight is published for this model, so none is claimed here.
Compatibility & Software Support
The TC80 is set up and operated through the Tapo app, which manages every Tapo camera, plug, bulb and sensor in one place. It is a consumer Wi-Fi camera and is not part of the Omada or VIGI business ranges: it cannot be adopted into an Omada Controller and it is not managed by VIGI NVR software.

Frequently Asked Questions — TC80
How is the TC80 different from the Tapo C400?
TP-Link publishes identical specifications for both: the same 1080p 2MP camera, 5,200 mAh battery, 70 dBA siren, IP65 rating and 81 x 48 x 58.32 mm body. Either is a sound choice; the TC80 and Tapo C400 are sold under different model names.
Do I need a hub or a subscription?
No. It connects straight to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and person detection works without Tapo Care. A subscription only adds cloud storage and snapshot notifications.
How do I charge it?
Through the USB Type-C port with the supplied cable and a 5 V, 1 A USB adapter (not included). An optional solar panel, sold separately, can keep it charged outdoors.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Two years local Singapore warranty. TP-Link Singapore's replacement warranty policy places the outdoor camera series on a two-year term. Every TC80 sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Can SourceIT quote this in quantity?
Yes. Send the quantity and site details and we will quote, including microSD cards, charging adapters and any Tapo hubs or accessories you want supplied with them.
