TP-Link Pan/Tilt AI Home Security Wi-Fi Camera (TC74) - 3 Years Local Warranty
The TC74 is an indoor pan/tilt camera that records in 3K 5MP on a 1/3 inch Starlight sensor. It pans through 360 degrees of coverage and tilts through a 69 degree mechanical range, so one camera on a shelf or ceiling can follow what happens across a whole room.
Razor-Sharp 3K 5MP View
Video is captured at up to 2880 x 1620 through a 4 mm F2.0 lens with an 88 degree diagonal field of view. Frame rate is selectable at 15, 20, 25 or 30 fps, and 3D DNR and BLC clean up noise and backlit scenes. 850 nm infrared night vision reaches up to 40 ft (12 m).
Smart AI Detection and Notifications
On-device detection covers motion, people, line crossing, tampering, vehicles, pets, baby crying, cat meowing, dog barking and glass breaking, with customisable activity zones so alerts come from the areas you care about. Smart motion tracking lets the camera follow movement across the room.
99 dB Siren and Two-Way Audio
A 99 dB siren, measured at 10 cm, can be triggered to deter an intruder, and the built-in microphone and speaker give two-way audio with noise cancellation for talking to family, pets or visitors.
Flexible Storage and Third-Party Recording
Footage records to a microSD card of up to 512 GB with no compulsory subscription; Tapo Care cloud storage is optional. RTSP and ONVIF are both supported, and the camera works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

Compatibility & Software Support
The TC74 is set up and operated through the Tapo app, which manages every Tapo camera, plug, bulb and sensor in one place. It is a consumer Wi-Fi camera and is not part of the Omada or VIGI business ranges: it cannot be adopted into an Omada Controller and it is not managed as an Omada or VIGI device.

How is the TC74 different from the Tapo C230?
They share the same published camera, video, detection and power figures. The TC74 lists 802.11b/g/n/ax on 2.4 GHz and a -20 to 70 °C storage range; the C230 lists 802.11b/g/n and -20 to 60 °C.
Does it need a cloud subscription?
No. It records locally to a microSD card of up to 512 GB (purchased separately). Tapo Care cloud storage is an optional paid service.
Can I pull the stream into my own recording software?
Yes. TP-Link publishes RTSP and ONVIF support for this model, so it is not locked to the Tapo app.
