TP-Link Tapo C420S4 Smart Wire-Free Security Camera System, 4 Cameras + H200 Hub
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link Tapo Smart Wire-Free Security Camera System, 4-Camera System (Tapo C420S4) - 2 Years Local Warranty
The Tapo C420S4 is the full wire-free system: four 2K QHD battery cameras and the Tapo H200 hub, which is the maximum the hub supports. It covers a whole perimeter with no cable runs at all, and it is the cheapest way into four cameras because every camera in the box is bought at kit pricing.
Four Cameras, the Hub's Full Capacity
Four Tapo C420 cameras ship with their batteries fitted alongside one Tapo H200 hub. Four is the published limit per hub, so this system is complete rather than a starting point: front, back and both sides of a typical landed property, or four bays of a yard, without an electrician anywhere in the process.
2K QHD on Every Camera
Each camera records at 2560 x 1440 on a 1/3 inch sensor through a fast 3.18 mm f/1.61 lens, covering 113 degrees at 15 or 20 fps with H.264 compression. Consistent resolution across all four positions matters more than it sounds: footage is only as useful as the weakest angle it was captured from.
Night Vision to 15 Metres and Months Per Charge
An 850 nm infrared array on each camera reaches up to 49 ft, or 15 m, in the dark. TP-Link's published battery figure is up to 180 days per camera, measured in its laboratory at 10 to 20 trigger events per day. On-device detection sorts motion from person, pet and vehicle events, which across four cameras is the difference between useful alerts and a phone that buzzes all day.
IP65 Cameras, Indoor Hub
All four cameras are rated IP65 against water and dust at 110.6 x 64.2 x 64.2 mm, rated for -20 to 45 degrees Celsius at 10 to 90 percent relative humidity, non-condensing. The H200 hub is a small indoor unit, 71.45 x 71.45 x 31.25 mm, on its own 9 V supply beside your router.
Ideal For
Singapore landed properties, warehouses, yards, worksites, childcare centres and small commercial premises that need full perimeter coverage with no cabling and no monthly fee. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and volume pricing on request.

The camera figure is published on the Tapo C420S4 page; the hub figure is published on the Tapo H200 product page, which gives a narrower range.
TP-Link publishes the local-storage capacity for this system only in its feature copy, which states that recordings save to the hub-installed microSD card up to 512 GB; no siren decibel rating, battery capacity in mAh, net weight or certification row is published for this system, so none is claimed here. A microSD card is purchased separately, and four cameras is the published maximum per hub.
Compatibility & Software Support
The Tapo C420S4 is set up and operated through the Tapo app, which manages every Tapo camera, plug, bulb and sensor in one place. It is a consumer Wi-Fi system and is not part of the Omada or VIGI business ranges: it cannot be adopted into an Omada Controller and it is not managed by VIGI NVR software.
| Tapo App | Supported — setup and remote viewing from iOS and Android |
| Expansion | Four cameras is the published maximum per H200 hub; a fifth position needs a second hub |
| Wi-Fi Requirement | 2.4 GHz network required; the system does not join 5 GHz networks |
| Local Storage | Hub-installed microSD card, up to 512 GB. Card purchased separately |
| Tapo Care | Optional paid cloud storage subscription for snapshots and clips |
| Omada / VIGI Management | Not supported — the Tapo range is separate from TP-Link's Omada and VIGI business lines |
For sites needing more than four cameras under one management system, ask SourceIT about the VIGI range, which is built for multi-camera business deployments with NVR recording.

Frequently Asked Questions — Tapo C420S4
Can I add a fifth camera?
Not to this hub. TP-Link publishes four cameras as the maximum per H200, so a fifth position needs a second hub. If you are planning beyond four cameras on one site, the VIGI range is the better starting point.
Is it cheaper than buying a kit and adding cameras?
Generally yes, because all four cameras come at system pricing rather than individual add-on pricing. Ask SourceIT for a comparison against a C420S1 plus three add-on cameras if you want it costed both ways.
Where should the hub go?
The cameras connect to the hub rather than straight to your Wi-Fi, so put the hub as centrally as possible relative to all four camera positions. It is an indoor unit and needs mains power and a network connection.
What warranty covers the batteries?
The system carries two years local Singapore warranty as an outdoor camera. TP-Link Singapore's replacement warranty policy limits all internal batteries and battery packs to six months, so the cameras' built-in batteries are covered for six months.
Can SourceIT quote this in quantity?
Yes. Send the quantity and site details and we will quote, including additional hubs, microSD cards, mounting and any Tapo accessories you want supplied with them.
