PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

TP-Link Tapo Smart Wire-Free Indoor/Outdoor Security Camera (Tapo C410) - 2 Years Local Warranty

The Tapo C410 runs entirely on its own battery, records to its own microSD card and needs no hub, so there is nothing to wire and nothing to subscribe to. It is the camera for the gate, the back wall or the rental unit where running power and network cable was never going to happen.

Battery Powered, With Solar as an Option

A built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery powers the camera outright. TP-Link's laboratory figure is up to 180 days of battery life at 250 seconds of use per day, where use means recording and watching live view; your own figure will depend on how much traffic the camera sees. For a position you would rather not revisit, the Tapo A201 solar panel is supported as an optional extra, sold separately.

2K 3MP With Full-Colour Night Vision and Twin Spotlights

Video is captured at 2304 x 1296 on a 1/2.8 inch progressive-scan starlight CMOS through a 3.17 mm f/1.65 lens, with a 125 degree diagonal field of view. Two spotlights give full-colour footage after dark, and an 850 nm infrared mode reaching 9.1 m keeps the camera discreet when you would rather it were not obvious. 3D DNR and WDR handle backlit gateways.

On-Device Detection and a 94 dB Siren

A dedicated motion sensor with a 110 degree horizontal field of view wakes the camera, and on-device AI sorts motion from person detection so a battery is not drained by every passing cat. Activity zones narrow it further. On an event the camera can sound a 94 dB siren, measured at 10 cm, and two-way audio with noise cancellation lets you speak through it.

512 GB On Board, No Hub and No Subscription

Unlike the hub-based C420 system, the C410 takes a microSD card of up to 512 GB in the camera itself, so it records standalone with no hub required. TP-Link also publishes the Tapo H200, sold separately, as an optional way to consolidate recordings from several cameras. Tapo Care cloud storage exists only as an optional paid extra. At 60 mm diameter by 89 mm the camera is small enough to sit on a shelf or clamp to a bracket, and it is rated IP65 for outdoor mounting.

Ideal For

Singapore homes, rented units, gates, side passages, worksites and shop backs where there is no power or network within reach, and for anyone who wants an outdoor camera up in ten minutes with no cabling and no monthly fee. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and volume pricing on request.

No battery capacity in mAh and no net weight are published for this model, so neither is claimed here.

Compatibility & Software Support

The Tapo C410 is set up and operated through the Tapo app, which manages every Tapo camera, plug, bulb and sensor in one place. It is a consumer Wi-Fi camera and is not part of the Omada or VIGI business ranges: it cannot be adopted into an Omada Controller and it is not managed by VIGI NVR software.

Tapo App Supported — setup and remote viewing from iOS and Android
System Requirements iOS 11.0 or higher, Android 5.0 or higher
Smart Integration Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa
Hub Requirement Not required — the C410 records to its own microSD card and connects directly to Wi-Fi. TP-Link publishes the Tapo H200 (sold separately) as an optional recording consolidator
Solar Panel Tapo A201 supported, sold separately
Wi-Fi Requirement 2.4 GHz network required; the camera does not join 5 GHz networks
Omada / VIGI Management Not supported — the Tapo range is separate from TP-Link's Omada and VIGI business lines

Where you need cameras that integrate with a business NVR or with central network management, ask SourceIT about the VIGI range instead.

Frequently Asked Questions — Tapo C410

Does the C410 need the Tapo H200 hub?

No. The C410 takes its own microSD card of up to 512 GB and connects straight to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. That is the main difference from the Tapo C420, which is a hub-based camera.

How long does the battery really last?

TP-Link's published figure is up to 180 days, measured in its laboratory at 250 seconds of use per day. A camera watching a busy frontage will need charging far sooner. The Tapo A201 solar panel, sold separately, is supported for positions you would rather not revisit.

What warranty covers the battery?

The camera carries two years local Singapore warranty as an outdoor camera. TP-Link Singapore's replacement warranty policy limits all internal batteries and battery packs to six months, so the built-in battery is covered for six months.

Can I mount it outdoors in the open?

It is rated IP65, so it handles rain and dust. As with any battery camera, a position with some shelter and a clear 2.4 GHz signal will give the best service life.

Can SourceIT quote this in quantity?

Yes. Send the quantity and site details and we will quote, including microSD cards, A201 solar panels, mounting and any Tapo accessories you want supplied with them.
