PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

TP-Link Tapo Smart Wi-Fi Light Strip (L900-10) - 2 Years Local Warranty

The Tapo L900-10 is the ten-metre version of TP-Link's Wi-Fi light strip: two 5 m reels on one controller and one power adapter, covering a whole room rather than a single shelf. It dims from 1% to 100%, cuts to length, and connects straight to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi with no hub. Setup and control run through the free Tapo app.

Ten Metres on One Controller

The box ships two LED light strips of 5 m each (2x 5 m / 2x 16.4 ft) with a single controller, power adapter and 3M adhesive for the controller. That is the practical difference from the L900-5: one power point and one app device cover twice the length, so a full room perimeter, a long kitchen run or a staircase does not need two separate installations competing for sockets. Each strip measures 5000 x 10 x 1.6 mm.

Dimmable Colour Across the Full Run

Both reels dim from 1% to 100%, which TP-Link states is done via the app and cloud only — there is no inline or wall dimmer in the design. Maximum power consumption across the ten metres is 20.5 W, fed by an adapter accepting 100–240 V at 50/60 Hz and delivering 12 V DC at 1.5 A. TP-Link's specification table rates the light emitters at 50000 hrs while its feature copy for the same model states a 25000-hour lifespan; both are reproduced as published and SourceIT does not reconcile them. Even on the shorter figure, four hours a night is well over fifteen years of evening use.

Cut to Fit, Stick and Forget

Each reel can be trimmed at its cut marks so the installation follows the architecture instead of being bunched at the ends. The strips carry 3M adhesive and a separate 3M pad is supplied for the controller itself, which means no brackets, no drilling and no trunking for a typical shelf, cove or cabinet run. Plan the route before cutting — trimmed sections cannot be re-used elsewhere.

Direct Wi-Fi, One App for the Whole Tapo Range

The L900-10 uses IEEE 802.11 b/g/n on 2.4 GHz and joins a secured home network by itself, with no Tapo hub or bridge in the path. It appears in the Tapo app alongside Tapo plugs, bulbs, sensors and cameras, so a single evening scene can dim the strip, switch a lamp on a Tapo plug and arm a camera at once. Voice control is available through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Certified and Rated for Everyday Indoor Use

TP-Link lists certifications of CE, FCC, IC, JRF, VCCI, RCM, NCC, BSMI and RoHS. The operating range is -15 ºC to 40 ºC at 10%–90% RH, non-condensing — comfortable for an air-conditioned Singapore interior and for the warmer, more humid spaces behind cabinetry. Packed weight is 380–465 g and the retail carton measures 144.5 x 83.5 x 119.5 mm.

Ideal For

Whole-room cove and perimeter lighting, long kitchen and wardrobe runs, staircases, gaming setups and retail display walls in Singapore. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty and GST invoice.

Frequently Asked Questions — L900-10

Is the L900-10 one ten-metre strip or two five-metre strips?

Two. TP-Link's package contents list “LED Light Strips (2× 5 m / 2× 16.4 ft)” with a single controller and power adapter between them.

How is it different from the L900-5?

Length and supply. The L900-10 ships two 5 m reels on one controller with a 12 V 1.5 A adapter and draws up to 20.5 W; the L900-5 is a single 5 m reel with a 1.0 A adapter and draws up to 13.5 W.

Does it need a Tapo hub?

No. It connects directly to a secured 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network over IEEE 802.11 b/g/n.

Can the strips be cut?

Yes, at the marked cut points. Trimmed sections cannot be re-used, so plan the run before cutting.

What warranty does SourceIT provide?

Two years local Singapore replacement warranty, the term TP-Link publishes for its Smart Light Strip category. Every L900-10 sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.

Is stock held locally?

SourceIT holds fast-moving Tapo lines in Singapore. Anything not in local stock is brought in on indent — ask us for the current lead time before committing to a date.

Can SourceIT quote this in volume?

Yes. Send the quantity and the mix of models and we will quote the whole Tapo build — strips, plugs, bulbs, sensors and cameras — with local warranty and support.
