The Tapo T310 is a compact screenless temperature and humidity sensor that reports to a Tapo hub every two seconds. TP-Link rates it to ±0.3 °C and ±3% RH across a -20~60 °C working range, so it can go in a wine store, a server cupboard or a nursery as readily as a living room. It runs on one CR2450 cell and ships with three ways to mount it. A Tapo hub is required.

±0.3 °C and ±3% RH, Refreshed Every Two Seconds

Accuracy is what separates a sensor you act on from a novelty. TP-Link publishes ±0.3 °C / ±0.54 °F for temperature and ±3% RH for humidity, with a two-second data refresh, which is fast enough to see an air-conditioner cycling or a door being left open. The working range runs from -20 °C to 60 °C and 0% to 99% RH, well outside anything a Singapore room will produce, and wide enough for a chiller or an unconditioned store.

Readings Live in the App, Not on the Unit

The T310 has no display. Everything is read in the Tapo app through the hub, which suits a sensor you want to place and forget - in a cupboard, behind equipment, inside a cabinet - rather than one you glance at across a room. If you want the numbers visible on the device itself, the Tapo T315 is the same measurement set behind a 2.7-inch screen.

A Sub-1 GHz Link, Not Wi-Fi

Like the rest of the Tapo sensor family, the T310 reaches its hub on 868 / 922 MHz rather than joining your wireless network. Several units across a home or shop add nothing to the router's client list, and the low-power radio is what allows a coin cell to carry the sensor for as long as it does. The condition is a Tapo hub on site, since the sensor has no independent route to the app.

Three Mounting Options in the Box

At 46 x 46 x 12.3 mm the T310 is a coaster-sized disc, and TP-Link supplies a 3M adhesive pad, an adhesive magnet and a lanyard, so it can be stuck to a wall, held on a metal surface or hung where neither works. An eject pin for the battery compartment is included. Power is one CR2450 cell, also supplied, and TP-Link qualifies the two-year figure: "Battery life of up to 2 years is based on TP-Link's laboratory. Actual battery life may vary depending on working conditions."
