The Tapo T315 is the T310's measurement set behind a 2.7-inch screen: ±0.3 °C and ±3% RH, refreshed every two seconds, shown on the unit as well as in the Tapo app. It runs on two AAA cells, stands on a desk or sticks to a wall, and reports to a Tapo hub over a sub-1 GHz radio. A Tapo hub is required.

A Screen You Can Read Across the Room

TP-Link's specification table gives the display as 2.7-inch E-ink, while the overview copy describes a "Visible LCD Display" - both are reproduced here as published. What the panel shows is the same data the app holds: current temperature, current humidity, and a comfort indication TP-Link describes as showing comfort levels via "facial expressions". For a nursery, a bedroom or a shop counter, a glanceable number beats opening an app.

±0.3 °C and ±3% RH, Refreshed Every Two Seconds

Sensor accuracy is published as ±0.3 °C / ±0.54 °F and ±3% RH with a two-second data refresh - the same figures as the screenless T310. The working range is -20~60 °C at 0%~99% RH, with TP-Link noting a narrower temperature display range of 0~50 °C, so the unit measures beyond what the panel will print. That distinction matters if you are putting one in a chiller or an unconditioned store.

Thresholds That Trigger the Rest of Your Tapo Devices

TP-Link describes home automation triggering when "settings fall outside preset range(s)". Through the hub, a humidity ceiling can start a Tapo socket driving a dehumidifier, or a temperature floor can raise a notification on your phone. Data is stored and graphed rather than merely displayed, so a drift over days is visible instead of being something you only notice once damage is done.

Desk or Wall, Two AAA Cells

The body is 62 x 62 x 24.5 mm and TP-Link states installation is flexible between wall and desk, with a 3M adhesive pad supplied. Power is 3.0 V DC from two AAA / LR03 cells, included, and the E-ink panel is part of why a display unit can run on ordinary batteries at all - it draws power when the reading changes rather than continuously.
