TP-Link Tapo Pan/Tilt Home Security Wi-Fi Camera (TC71) - 3 Years Local Warranty
The TC71 is TP-Link's 2K 3MP pan/tilt camera under its retail-channel model code. It delivers the familiar Tapo formula — full 360 degree coverage, 2K detail, two-way audio and local microSD recording to 512 GB — and is set up and managed through the same Tapo app as the rest of the range.
2K 3MP Detail Over a Full 360 Degrees
A 1/2.9 inch sensor behind a 4 mm f/2.4 lens records 2K 3MP, and the motorised head covers 360 degrees horizontally and 114 degrees vertically. One unit in the corner of a room therefore replaces the two or three fixed cameras you would otherwise need, along with the cabling and power outlets that would have gone with them. You steer it by swiping in the app or leave it to patrol.
Night Vision to 9 m
An 850 nm infrared LED lights the scene to 30 ft in complete darkness, which spans a normal room or the length of a corridor. Because the pan/tilt head still works at night, one camera continues to cover the whole space after dark rather than reverting to a single fixed angle.
512 GB of Local Recording, No Subscription Required
The microSD slot accepts cards up to 512 GB, so continuous recording runs for a long stretch before it loops. Nothing about the camera's core function depends on a cloud plan: local recording is free, and the card is the only consumable. Two-way audio through the built-in microphone and speaker lets you talk into the room from your phone.
Encrypted in Transit, Protected on the Network
The camera joins 2.4 GHz networks at up to 150 Mbps on 802.11n with WPA/WPA2-PSK, and TP-Link specifies 128-bit AES encryption with SSL/TLS for the video stream. It runs from a supplied 9 V 0.6 A adapter and is rated for 0 to 40 degrees C in operation, with storage tolerated from -40 to 70 degrees C.

Compatibility & Software Support
The TC71 is set up and operated through the Tapo app, which manages every Tapo camera, plug, bulb and sensor in one place. It is a consumer Wi-Fi camera and is not part of the Omada or VIGI business ranges; it cannot be adopted into an Omada Controller and it is not managed by VIGI NVR software.
