The Tapo C200C is the revised edition of the C200. It keeps the 1080p Full HD resolution, the full 360 degree pan/tilt head, the 12 m night vision and the 512 GB microSD support of the original, and looks through a wider 93 degree lens on a larger 1/2.8 inch sensor. Those two optics are what make it the more capable of the two for a 1080p camera, and it remains one of the most affordable ways to cover a whole room.
Night Vision to 12 m
TP-Link rates the C200C's 850 nm infrared LED at 40 ft (12 m), far enough to carry a room and the corridor beyond it once the lights are off. The lens is wider than the C200's, at 93 degrees diagonal against 88.3 degrees, so each sweep of the head takes in more of the room.
Full 360 Degree Coverage From One Unit
The motorised head pans 340 degrees mechanically and tilts 70 degrees, which TP-Link states gives 360 degree horizontal and 110.8 degree vertical coverage. A 1/2.8 inch progressive scan CMOS sensor — larger than the C200's 1/3 inch — records 1920 x 1080 at up to 30 fps through a 4.0 mm f/2.0 lens. One camera therefore covers an entire living room, shop floor or storeroom with no blind corner.
93 dB Siren and Two-Way Audio
A siren rated 93 dB at 10 cm can be triggered automatically on detection or manually from the Tapo app, and two-way audio with noise cancellation runs through the built-in microphone and speaker. That turns the camera from a passive recorder into something you can use to interrupt what is happening — warn off an intruder, answer a delivery, or speak to someone at home.
512 GB of Local Recording, Cloud Optional
The card slot accepts up to 512 GB, so recordings loop far less often. Local recording carries no subscription and the microSD card is the only consumable. Tapo Care cloud storage exists as an optional paid service for anyone who wants an off-site copy, but the camera is complete without it.

TP-Link does not publish a dimensions row or a certification row for the Tapo C200C, so none is claimed here. TP-Link's own footnote on the Activity Zones feature reads: "Only works with Motion Detection."
Compatibility & Software Support
The Tapo C200C is set up and operated through the Tapo app, which manages every Tapo camera, plug, bulb and sensor in one place. It is a consumer Wi-Fi camera and is not part of the Omada or VIGI business ranges; it cannot be adopted into an Omada Controller and it is not managed by VIGI NVR software.
